why do you want a pickup truck?

buy a yellow god damn h1

What difference does it make to you?

You're picking the best of the big three, but why not just an F250 since you're paying for a helper spring that you're going to replace anyway?

not op
cuz they're sweet man
want the 3 on the side rofl

>want the 3 on the side rofl
K wel you do you boo boo

they're the same price

>70 grand
>on a truck
god, americans are dumb.

>70 grand
>a lot of money

you sound just like the kind of retard who thinks he has more money than he does and squanders all of it and wonders where it went, so go right ahead big boy

you sound just like the kind of retard with zero valuable skills and an immutable misunderstanding of consumerism and world microeconomics

please lets just keep this Veeky Forums

>not paying 0 dollars for barn find f-250

weak ass shit senpai

Sorry OP, I know its your money but fuck you for wasting it on some blinged out mall crawler.

Good ol boys with 15 year old dodges with "muh cummins" will try to race you and will likely win since they usually tune them to the point of near failure.

hope you know what your in for.

It's more than what most of this board makes in a year. he average american only pulls like 40 or 50 grand. And all on a car to go from point A to B. I bet he won't even take it into the dirt.

Not bad for free but not really comparable either.

>cucked 210 hp 5.8 liter.
>Open diff.

My 5.0 (215hp) AWD explorer would probably drag that thing down the road. I have torque monster headers good for +20 hp and + 40 torque.

You need to mod that 5.8 like right NOW and make some real power.

They're not. Granted, it's not much of a difference. You're still paying more for that '3'

its got the sikk ass broken injectors mawd for coal rolling tho

An excellent excuse to fix it up and make some power.

you know, they have a nitrous kit on amazon for $100 if you wanted to be lazy but embarrass ricers.

amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001R9BWDM/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I imagine a 5.8 could do a 100 shot stock easy with 93 octane gas.

Its obviously an object of conspicuous consumption, so why do you ask why hes splurging on a 350? Honestly i see no point in a SRW f350 its kinda redundant in a world with the f250, but thats him

It's not as dumb as dropping $70k on a sedan. The truck is way the fuck more practical.

The problem is people that spend 70k on a truck almost never use it as a damn truck.

You know what I see on a day to day basis?

Older trucks 10+ years old being used a actual trucks and these newer fords just being driven around as commuter cars....

the only new trucks I ever see being used as trucks are company fleet trucks and new public works trucks.

If OP bought a raptor I could forgive him. Literally the only exception.

I would buy a raptor over the 350 EVERY day of the week. especially if I never was going to use the truck to its potential.

yea ive been slowly doing work to it since it drove my ass around with no complaints for 80k miles as my dd no issue. hell the damn thing has over 300k on it.

not if you're a charmin' squeezin' faggot like op

Are you constantly burning off the tires on your "sports car" and drifting every single corner?

Do you follow every single truck owner home to make sure he doesn't have any toys that he pulls? Try camping in the bush or getting into motorsports some day and you'll see truck being "used".

Even as just a city commuter trucks are pretty amazing. Comfy, up high and powerful.

>Just got 70k
>Better buy a cuck truck

Go ahead OP

I did actually buy Eagle F1's for my "sports car" and do drive spirited daily. Thats the fun of it.

No sense in ever buying a 70k truck unless a raptor.

I mean I get that but still, money saved in one spot is money to spend elsewhere. Coming from someone who spends more money than he should.

it's your money, so buy whatever you want , just don't drive like a dickhead on the road like most of the inbred retarded douchebags that drive those bubba tanks

Fuck that op. Find a nice truck for 20k or less and invest the rest. If you spend 70k on any vehicle and you arent using it to make more money like as a welding rig or something just fucking kys

Fix your finances first.

>just got a shit ton of money
>a shit ton

OP is set for life

OP here, once again please keep this Veeky Forums

I have enough money to spend 10 thousand dollars a day for 10 years, so lets just talk about this truck instead, is it any good? What size lift kit should I go, 4 inch or 6? I think I want 37" tires on 20" wheels

...

The Ford is honestly the best IMO between the big three.

I just got my old '08 back and it's got an 8" on 37s and 20" wheels. I know the body's different but at least it's an idea on lift/tire size for you

>spending $70k on that ugly piece of shit

just don't expect to haul anything without looking like a jackass.

To be honest, I think Chevys look better with all that shit on them. Also the 6.7 is starting to have some reliability issues, and the new Duramax has been updated to be on a level with Ford/Dodge offerings. Nothing beats Fords when it comes to interior comfort, however (both in space and amenities).

Not if they are all pennies

>people who buy giant new trucks and lifts/tires/etc.
>people who use a truck for its practicality

choose one

6", imo. you'll need a drop hitch and I'd suggest 35"s instead of the 37"s because it'll help lower the amount of tire rub (which you will probably still have) and looks more or less the same.
also 20"s on any truck that you actually want to use like a truck are gross and make you look like a faggot

A lifted truck can still be practical. It's still capable of doing a lot more than a $70k sedan. Can your car go off road and tow 15k lbs? Didn't think so.

this. if you want a giant powerful truck that you're only going to use as a commuter vehicle, the only respectable choice is to buy the one that is actually meant to be used that way.

buying a class 3 pickup truck when you have no intention of using it to haul/tow anything is just a waste

yes, it's capable of doing a lot more, but most of the people who buy a lifted truck don't utilize that capability at all. that's why it's stupid

If you want to get a giant truck and you're actually going to use its giant truck capabilities, more power to you. I'm just saying that's usually not the case, which is why everyone reacts as they do to this question.

Like I said before. What's the point of some 400hp "sports tuned" car if you just to drive to work and Starbucks? If it's not being used 100% of the time on a track it's stupid right?

Technically anything nicer than a $14k Kia is not necessary. This is America, We don't do just "necessary".

.

i know what you mean, but it's a bit apples/oranges.

Yes, in most cases, both heavy duty trucks and powerful sportscars are never used to their full potential by most drivers. But with the sportscars, they still get used as a "fun" vehicle as intended, even if they never get fully opened up on a track every day.
In the case of the trucks, they're meant to be a practical working vehicle and so their intended purpose often isn't fulfilled at all.

But I talk to much, you're entirely right, the only justification needed is "because I want to" and that's fine by me

Trucks are plenty fun. Weather it's bombing down a nasty logging road or pulling your trailer full of toys.

Buy a lifted Kodiak or f650. I'm sure there's low mileage ones for 70k

>speak now and suggest something else or forever hold your peace

>makes a thread and gets pissy when someone has a different opinion than wanting to own an F1shitty

those are other people gettin pissy, i'm just trying to find the right car. tired of driving ecoboxes and ive always wanted a truck

>The truck is way the fuck more practical
F550 & work vans are practical. F350s without goose-necks are fucking bubba bling.

>ITT OP claims to have 36.5 million dollars

K friend

Any lift that has any kind of impact on offroading clearance is also going to destroy the towing capacity of a truck due to the change in suspension geometry. So ya, a lifted truck is useless for towing.

I have an F150, and It pulls and hauls more than I've ever used. Why the 350? what are you doing with it?

work hard my friend, thing will work out if you give it your best
cuz its sweet i dunno, always wanted one

Even then, the raptor is inferior to sports cars of the same price range

Trucks are just retarded in every way.
>powerful
At what? Hauling his fat insecure ass around?

F550's are useless for anything other than commercial use, Or dragging a big ass fifth wheel across the country. A 350 is borderline derivable on a daily basis even if you don't tow with it.

Lifted trucks tow fine.

I bet most diesel 3500's would smoke your shitbox. Even a Silveraydo gas job does 0-60 in under 6.

The headlights on the F350 look like this.

[ FORD ]

If you're okay with that by all means go ahead.

>Lifted trucks tow fine.
true, you look like a bubba fucked moron, but true

Why you want to lift the damn thing and replace the wheels?

Raptor if you're a Ford man.

there are tons of people with that much money

i think op wants a big work truck not a sports truck

with all that crome, people passing by surely have to turn their lights off.
That truck is so fucking ugly and out of proportion in every aspect.

Because he has no taste and he probably lives in a place where it's cool to be a truck cuck.

This is now a buyers remorse thread.

- cant wait for all that depreciation

>i basically described an SUV but gotta have a bed because of my fragile masculinity
t. soccer mom (male)

I had to drive several Fords for work when I was towing. Everything from F-450 hook trucks to F-750 roll backs. They are ok at best. Not bad, but nothing stand out about them.

I would suggest a Dodge if you're going for a truck. I've been in a lot of them but the 5500 with column shift is by far the most comfortable truck I've been in.

Those double back windows remind me of rape.
