Turbo V6's are clearly better than turbo V8's for track performance. So why would you want extra weight if you're trying to create a lightweight track vehicle?

In the early 200s having 300whp made you pretty awesome in a lot of places. Having a FWD shitbox with 170hp was pretty nuts as well. But today everything seems to roll off the lot with 250hp on fwd and 350+ on RWD setups.

The reason why manufacturers are switching from N/A V8s to twin turbo V6s is too move the power band farther up in to the rev range in order to fool EPA (and equivalent) emissions testing. If you like a driving profile with a small powerband and torque that doesn't peak until beyond halfway up the rev range, you'll like a twin turbo v6. If you actually drive cars, you'll appreciate the low end torque of a high displacement N/A V8 and never post this shitty thread again.
