Put it in this to create the perfect mustang
is that plenum and throttle body any good? I want to get one for more ripums
>Ripums
U-uncle bumblefuck?
I'm guessing it's a bit better than a stock GT setup but being a Ford part it still might not be the best out there
I don't know mustang aftermarket shit well, I'm an LS guy
keep yer dick in a vice
In a fiata to make a modern cobra
YES the Cobra jet (CJ) intake is very good, but unless you have better heads and optimized cams than the factory GT equipment, you will be leaving a lot of the intakes performance boost on the table.
>better heads
those fuckers are like 2k each
Who here shop ruler senpai
...
iirc they were good for about 30-40 horsepower on the top end when utilized correctly, and they don't sacrifice near as much torque as some of the other intakes
>500HP
jejjing mao
...
How much does that thing weigh? I bet it's more than 550 lbs.
>780 HP
>less than 15 liters of displacement
Sad!
568 pounds assembled according to super chevy
>only 776
as usual Prez/o/ on the losing team
This engine is only slight above average for its displacement btw
Displacement means fuck all. Even with a primitive ass carb that thing is putting out "supercar" power, Naturally aspirated. That's also an off the shelf motor that you can walk into a dealership and buy.
A DOHC that's physically bigger and heavier than that crate engine struggles to make half that power.
Volvo 240
>displacement doesn't matter
lol
>dizzy
>not coils
Trash. Only Honda can get away with this
>DOHC
kaase made 800 horsepower with a ford 5.4 block and heads
Look at how wide that bitch sits.
Another argument for the LS.
Okay... But that engine is the size of a big block Chevy... You could do the same to a junkyard GM engine for way less.
It boggles my mind when people only compare displacement. Physical size and weight are what matter.

Not him, but some good old learnin' readin' material here.
>second worst chassis
>put an even heavier engine in it
Bravo user
i would replace that fucking v8 or v12 with just about anything else.
>m-muh pushrods
>muh hp/$
Pathetic
>making less torque than a Harley
Priceless.
Like that weed whacker engine would even move your fat ass.
>Torque
>Relevant
Yeah, less enthusiastic car people look at me funny when I say the V8 from a corvette easily fits in the bay of miatas.
>muh torque
always remember to clean up your shmoo when you're done using the wife's hitachi back massager while on the confuser.
>focus you fack!
I need this
Torque is what gets you going
Horsepower is just for higher speeds
Wrong
prove it
I think the whole argument pushrod vs DOHC is dumb, but to write off DOHC as having worse performance than OHV is factually wrong.
He's right though. Horsepower is a measure of torque. If you have trash torque you're going to have to rev to the moon to get any horsepower. Relying on that method you're going to have to spend big money on good valvetrain components and have an extremely good flowing set of heads
