why cant i build the officer training school in long war 1?
Juan Howard
There are no prerquisites so I can't say why.
Eli Baker
You need a certain amount of cumulative soldier ranks to build it. Just keep leveling your entire roster.
Christian Nguyen
what the fuck do i do on the landed large in march all i have is specialists
Jeremiah Evans
Go in super slowly get some kills and evac the second shit goes down.
Cameron Myers
You can take on everything in that map if you do it one pod at a time but if you hit the pod of 5 outsiders get the hell out of there.
Matthew Ward
X-Com on console is Fun
Adrian Wright
but y tho
Zachary Flores
Brainwashed Vipers to become our wives when?
Evan Butler
post favorite alien
Leo Cooper
Already did senpai. Andromedons are top tier
Alexander Long
More like andromedork
Gabriel Miller
If only he wasn't such a dick. Disorient not disabling his acid bomb is horrible.
Jayden Sanchez
its literally not possible to beat a squad of 6 outsiders in march
Jose Martinez
wrong
Josiah Martinez
...
Hudson Morris
Wrong
Connor Johnson
>mind control an andromedon and proceed to fuck the aliens out of cover >they finally put him down and the suit gets back up >specialist hacks the suit immediately >he fists every single alien left best memory of the network tower mission
Justin Morgan
I love stomping through everything.
Hunter Rogers
Jus is ha
Chase Cox
Can I have Xenonauts air game in my XCOM? Please?
Isaiah Morales
Guys how do I git gud and brutally rape both the tactical and strategic LW2 layers (vaginal and anal) on legend?
Robert Hall
After grabbing most of the first timer recommended stuff from the modlist I also picked up a bunch of the cosmetic stuff. Why is this in particular causing a conflict? I'm not a modder by any means but I can't see why a cosmetic armour mod would be changing UI classes.
Angel Cook
A detected "conflict" doesn't necessarrily mean anything is actually wrong. Chances are, if it's not already a reported conflict, in the mod comments or in the description, and it doesn't seem logical, there probably won't be anything. Just load it up and see if you notice anything, but I doubt there will be any problems. Of course, watch everything break now that I said that.
Charles Collins
...
Austin Adams
What mod launcher is dis?
Jace Morales
The one the pastebin said was the best to use.
Daniel Gomez
Alternate mod launcher. Infinitely superior to the standard one. Check the modding pastebin, should be a link.
Leo Harris
>the squad suits up and walks to the Skyranger after the Gollop Chamber gets activated >memories of the long, long war flood through them >slow pan of the piles and piles of bodies in the base as this plays
Is there a way to get my units to stop being retards and placing their fat ass thumb over one of the hack rewards so that I can't even read what it does?
Parker Garcia
suck my ass lump
Connor King
I have literally never seen what you have described
Tyler Mitchell
I thought I had a screenshot of it but I don't, have a shitty MSpaint appoximation. It's happened both times I've done a hack thing so far, both in the tutorial and in that mission with the generator thing. The little tablet will come up and the troops right hand will be like in the image.
Christopher Garcia
thats pretty funny
Lucas Foster
It is but it's also annoying since it's not like I'm a vet of the game who knows what the reward is from the tiny amount of text left unblocked, makes it impossible to tell what it is. I'm off the game now so I'm hoping it won't be doing it whenever I'm next playing and have to hack something.
Cameron Jenkins
well based off my own experience i have yet to see that issue so maybe its not very common
Aiden Hill
...
Brandon Roberts
camping the whale is so fun
Landon Russell
Why did I really like EW but hated and got bored of xcom2 after like 2 ingame months?
Landon Hill
Surely you would have some idea about what you did not enjoy. It's not like xcom2 was delicate about its changes.
Justin Thompson
I dont know its just weird maybe it was the little things like I didnt like the characters as much and the timed missions and what not. Oh well.
Gabriel Perez
not that user but those aspects didn't bother me so much. I enjoyed xcom 2 a lot and still play it, but I liked the setting of EW better, with more ayys and council funding, etc.
Connor Richardson
Alot of people don't like timers, most common complaint. The weaker cast is not unfounded. Personally, I like Tygan, though not everyone does, and Shen jr. is disputably a weaker character compared to her Father. Even Bradford of course is different, though that never bothered me.
Sebastian Harris
it's definitely andromedon. the alien that had no inspiration in ufo and actually is an improvement over ufo designs, AND also fits very sell with the setting of alien occupation of earth.
muton close second, great redesign over retarded generic brutes of xcom 1 and purple gorillas of ufo.
Hunter Cooper
Does bradford ever get his sweater back?
Jaxon Thompson
no
Matthew Perez
I like Tygan as a character but his research reports are not as enjoyable to read as Vahlen and her team's reports. With a few exceptions (namely mag/plasma weapons and powered armor).
Lucas Thompson
...
Elijah Watson
because you're a fucking idiot. gameplay wise xcom 2 is an improvement.
alien designs are a WAST improvement in genereal.
design of xcom itself on the other had is pretty meh, and this is the only problem of xcom 2. we should've stayed the international intergovermental military organisation, not the fucking isis.
Austin Lewis
my issue is that they didnt even go full isis they look like Halloween costumes in alot of cases
Nicholas Evans
>>Hair physics is still a long way to go.
That kind of explains some stuff. OK, can certainly wait.
Noah Murphy
what are you talking about? war suits are amazing looking, mostly because of new engine. eh there are blinkenlichten all over the suits but can you honestly tell me that this looks worse than uninspired shitty titan armor?
plasma weapons are beautiful to behold, plasma beam effects are amazing and i despise the fact that they replaced lasers with shitty mags, because lasers would look amazing too.
the only problem is the design of xcom itself- shitty characters, retarded fucking flying base.
Lincoln Barnes
no i think titan armor looks better than that shit tier 3 is pretty weak in xcom 2
Jaxson Bennett
your picture is generic as fuck. at least the armor i posted looks like an actual armor, unlike titan which looks like something a grade schooler would come up with.
quite literally the only memorable and unique feature of titan designs was the neck guard.
still both titan and war are far outdone by ufo power armor, and i wish we could have that bulky suit remade in new xcom, but alas, general consumer wouldn't like it.
Joshua Perry
>at least the armor i posted looks like an actual armor, bullshit
>but alas, general consumer wouldn't like it. double bulllshit
Not that I find XCOM2 tier 3 to be bad, but it doesn't fit with the theme of the rest of the game.
Jaxon Cruz
was about to say this
Cameron Diaz
God that gorget looks so fucking sexy
It's a shame there isn't a similar one on warden armor.
Easton Harris
the jump form tier 2 to 3 is too much
Thomas Jones
t3 should have been the material that t2 is made of but in the way of a full body suit instead of just padded pieces
Cooper Gutierrez
i just want it to look like armor and not a metal leotard
Angel Lee
It is made of the same material, it's just the alien alloy plates have been custom fabricated rather than scavenged.
Gavin Roberts
They look lubricated too if you know what I mean
Andrew Foster
we both know that you have actually made a conscious effort to make this screenshot look ridiculous.
Lucas Reyes
i pulled these from google
Joseph Cruz
Polished you mean?
The plating laid on top of the muscle suits is pearlescent in a sense.
Jason Cox
maybe the idea behind that jump is to evoke a feeling of xcom transitioning from ragtag freedom fighters to actual military organization ready to fight one on one with Advent it still looks out of place tho
Nathan Lee
maybe but the jump makes them look some thing that is neither xcom or advent
Jace Flores
I seem to be in the minority here regarding T3
I really like it.
Anthony Murphy
thats fine we are just having a discussion about what tastes we have
Adam Powell
actually now that im looking at this more i think the issue many of us have with tier 3 is the lack of options we have for it compared to tier one and tier 2
Benjamin Diaz
I have the same qualm with T2, at least with predator armor. Fortunately someone was kind enough to port over Carapace so I have a few more options on that front.
On a side note I love the aesthetic of coil guns as well
Christopher Foster
>i never asked for this >*beam cannon charges* >TOUCAN SAFARIIIiiii~...
Caleb Campbell
is that a lego sword?
Carter Scott
It's a "vibroblade," the upgrade for a gunner's combat knife.
Not really useful as a weapon but it's kinda cool.
Cameron Phillips
>ayy my stun lancer buddy is dead >better go to the exact same spot he did, there's no way xcom is still there
Eli Cox
>Not really useful as a weapon I have seen otherwise but, having not tested it personally, I do respect your opinion.
Joseph Parker
I should be clear; the knife is useful for its intended role as a backup weapon, but not something you charge into combat with.
It's really good for dealing with stun lancers and then taking a shot at something else, since it only takes one action.
Their kill animations are better but the model/design in xcom 2 is superior.
Ayden Williams
there's only one true chryssalid. get your gay ass shit out of my sight, son. you have disgraced the family.
William Bennett
>unironically liking UFO lids
Luis Mitchell
they are personification of psychotic rape and genuinely make me afraid.
the grin is a topping. ufo chryssalid wails on the alin turn, runs out, rapes your scouts and all the while he's grinning.
Easton Ross
>this can never happen in X2 again fuck but that game me an idea, how about a mod that makes it so that there is a chance that a lid cocoon wont spew a lid every turn but instead will spawn a high tier lid at end of turn 3
Andrew Morris
There is a charm to there goofiness. More importantly, the original lids were ten times scarier on the battlefield than the newer games. If I had to pick one visual design though, I would still go with XCOM1 lids.
Cameron Jones
advent general, huh? looks cool actually.
Aiden Garcia
why the fuck kubikiri doesn't work on him?
Connor Bennett
What is Kubikiri even for? It sounds cool as shit when you read the tooltip, but if it doesn't work on the enemies that one would logically want to use it on, then what's the fucking point?
Cooper Robinson
...
Levi King
Really cool.
Justin Walker
1. why the fuck retratining takes a month? i could understand 4 days in vanilla where you're not bombarded with missions and you technically needed to respec gremlin shock into medkit and lightnong hands into headshot once you leveled up, but why the fuck even have a delay in lw? 2. is there a console command to invoke respek on soldier? i want to get rid of shitty fucking red circles from close encounters and from this dogshit fucking broken kubikiri.
Evan Fisher
I feel like editing the time down in an .ini for the re-speccing would be much more likely to work. You could probably make it a few days, an hour, maybe instantaneous.
Logan Richardson
So in long war which starting nation is the best?
Gabriel Stewart
france
Jordan Stewart
The extra soldiers or the better council requests?
