It has 0 story and the plot is super weak. But its over the top cute, and adorable in every way. It never fails to put a smile on my face, no matter how much of a shitty day I'm having. For that alone its great.

Not really. Sure, loads of visual novels have some relative contrivance in regards to their drama, but with Hoshimemo it was especially bad. It's simply an issue of the writer being bad at his job. A lot of Favorite games are pretty bad in this regard, honestly. And in my opinion they fare badly when it comes to relationship building and crafting a good sense of chemistry between the protagonist and the heroine.
