Hi, I'm new. I just played the trial and I had a lot of fun with the game but I had a few questions before I decided to make a purchase.
Is it worth getting into the game at this time? I know a new expansion is coming out soon, should I wait for that to come out before I purchase or jump right into the game?
How time intensive is the game? I've mostly played really grindy/Korean MMOs before this and I'm looking for a game that doesn't require me to be online 24/7 in order to be efficient.
Finally, what classes are most needed?

You can start now, it's highly unlikely that Stormblood is going to change anything so greatly it'll affect your experience.
Time intensiveness-wise they boosted the exp from the vanilla game's quests and other stuff so it's not really going to be that grindy for you to do at all.
The thing that gets most people is that the quests after you finish the game's initial Main Story Questline are a bit naff and not that great.
When Stormblood hits since both new jobs are dps you'll probably see lots of healers and tanks in demand.
