I use something similar and it works surprisingly well, unless you let it get to super late game, even against Albert because they are afraid to trade into your corpses and then you just Urd them. Tyrant is interesting.

I still don't see it. Is the ability to trade with enemy followers without ward during your turn really worth losing 2 attack every turn and not having bane (basically what Mastema is)?

She's part of the Demon faction. For the most part, they're all dickasses. The only one that didn't seem like an active asshole was Lucifer, and that's just because he's doing jack squat in his library.
Curiously enough, every time I dropped original Beast Dominator (not Sadistic Night) on-curve, my opponent always traded with her, even when I was not in vengeance mode.
