Anyone have experience doing padhacks? When wiring the pots for the triggers on the 360 pad, do you set them to active or inactive before soldering the middle joint? And what if I were to desolder the pots, what would I need to do after for them to work on NO switches?

Hwoarang's new design was a mistake.
Between Tekken 7 new costumes and SFV redesigns it really feels like japanese fighting game companies went downhill when it comes to artistic research.

even not considering timing, the guy with more meter wins if he's not asleep. and some chars get stupid good reward from half charge where others get literally nothing. like johnny can literally sdth into a full unscaled combo midscreen.
guts is dumb just use defense modifiers. why should i have to guess my combo damage? it adds combo variety at the end of the game via people mashing light attacks, though, so that's very exciting!

Pretty much every character has difficult shit to learn, but the most beginner friendly characters in my opinion are Paul and JACK.

who do you play in other games?
there are simpler characters like Jack but it doesn't really mean they're a beginner friendly because of the nuances of the other characters

I'm going to play Tekken 7 With the PS4 Analog stick
In SF and Marvel I play characters with good normals.
Cammy in SF4, Ken in 3S, Fei Long in ST, frank west/zero/doom in in marvel etc
he's a turtle character with garbage pokes. you're limited to jabs (high), ewgf (high, startup depends on your execution), f+4 (slow), ff+3 (slow), df+1 (slow, not good enough on block to continue pressure), b+2 (hitconfirmable into b+2,4, loses to backdash and sidesteps), db+4 (punishable low), and db+3 (high crushing low).
based on frames alone it's hard to get in and stay on offense with kazuya, so you really have to learn to work in movement to your offense. quick backdashes, ducks, sidesteps, and wavedashes to evade or bait and punish retaliation is basically how his offense is optimally played.
doesn't mean don't play by the frame data, but learn it and play around it. you may not be able to punish a panic dick jab, but it's -7, meaning it's your turn to keep running offense. you really have to notice their habits in situations where they aren't punishable, but at significant frame disadvantage, as you can use them as tells for when to just wavedash in their face and throw the frame data out the window, just put them in a straight up rps or 50/50 situation.
