Why Do Americans Insist On Having Such Large Engines?
We don't have engine size taxes.
Maybe you should, then you might finally have enough money to fix the two TRILLION dollar gap in your infrastructure maintenance and stop your bridges from collapsing.
Displacement tax wouldn't help much. if anything the military budget needs to be cut down drastically as I've come across several people in the Navy on Veeky Forums who joined just to get paid shit loads of money to sweep the deck and do the occasional military exercise while their goal is to pick up souvenirs or grope local japanese school girl's asses.
Need to remove ourselves from the middle east (never should've went there regardless of 9/11) and call me a trump-tard or whatever (didn't support him) as i don't know if this is a controversial stance but (maybe) just maybe other countries like Japan and South Korea should be allowed to fully build up their own military and develop their own Nuclear arsenal and then they can deal with whatever threat comes from North Korea themselves with no input from us (although North Korea actually being a threat is doubtful and they most likely aren't going to do anything but put everyone in east Asia on edge)
Why we are protecting Isreal at all is beyond me. all the source of their problems is from religious differences and disputes of who actually spiritually owns that piece of desert. id be fine with them completely telling the entire middle eastern region to fuck off and come to the states or any western country. Jews are mostly peaceful people who keep to themselves anyway and most of them in Isreal live like Americans and are already well off so they wouldn't be on any welfare wherever they went.
Drug war should be ended altogether. Drugs should be legal and taxed.
People with low income/in poverty should be given incentives (like cash or a check that is totally up to them to take) to sterilize themselves so they don't produce children they can't take care of to be a strain on the system.
Sorry for that autistic rant just now.
>shit loads of money
The navy isn't paying shit loads of money unless you are from a third world country or making the federal minimum wage.
base pay is like $1600 a month.
If you are so jelly of the broom pushers why not pick up a broom?
My mistake then. i figured they were since some of them made threads asking which sports cars to bring back which probably wouldn't be affordable for minimum wage workers on top of bragging about how they don't really do much.
haven't we had this thread enough times
$1600 a month with all your housing, food, utilities, health care, etc. covered and taken care of is pretty decent money, considering apartments around here start at $700/month for a single room in a house with a shared bathroom and no on-site laundry, and to make $1600/month you have to make about $4/hour more than local minimum wage.
They also have programs, not sure if they apply to deployments, but they definitely apply for basic training, where if you have evidence of paying rent for a place to live, they'll give you the cost of the rent on top of your regular pay, so you can have a place to live when you get back. A lot of people just make up a receipt for $1000+/month for living in their mothers basement and keep it.
>2.2 cavalier
>120hp when new
>implying i don't need to keep it floored to get to highway speed
My 95 talon had 25 more HP and that made a world of difference
I would shudder to think of some poor euro fuck trying to drive an 75hp diesel on 80mph freeways
Would get devastated by a goddamn semi that never saw him and never stopped because all he felt was a pothole
Classic trap for people joining the military. 18 year old has his first time job and works out banks will loan him $60000 to buy a SS Commodore no money down. I knew a bloke in training who bought a HSV Maloo and couldn't afford insurance and then crashed the damn thing.
