Has nothing to do with not being Scott, it has to do with the models being too sharp, too angular, too plastic-looking, and just not visually appealing.

It's technical aspects are impressive, in that the kid does knows Clickteam, but the animatronic designs are based off of FNAF instead of going in their own direction. FNAF, which has lower quality character design after the first game. It's inescapably a fangame because of this.

It's going to be even further from the series than TSE was but might also hint at what Scott does in the future, since he took some bits for SL like William Afton. It might also try to put in some of SL's stuff, which would be very weird.
I don't expect a trailer/teaser before it's release, as to avoid stepping on the books' toes. The first we see of the next game would probably be in the guidebook, which makes me realize that franchising it for kids was a mistake.

Yenndo's not from FNAF World, he's the Sister Location version of Golden Freddy. He was in the vanilla game as a very occasional appearance on Night 3.

Like only a third of the animatronics in SL have any art or stories though so Yenndo isn't alone. He just gets singled out because like Shadow Bonnie, he's just trying to be cryptic for the sake of crypticness. There isn't any story to him.

Real life has temporarily intruded upon Poke's ability to write furry fanfiction for this Mongolian stamp collecting BBS.

Well it would be nice if Poke himself would say something considering A) how many fans he has here still waiting, and B) the fact that his initial transparency and willingness to talk directly with his readers was what helped endear him to so many early on.
Ever since around the time Weaver left for /trash/ Poke has pretty much clamped down on any communication outside of just posting his story. That, combined with his updates happening less and less frequently makes me doubt that it's just life stuff so much as he just doesn't care anymore. Which honestly would be fine. He's been doing this for over a year now and has written more than pretty much everyone else here. I don't think anyone would hold it against him if he came out and said he was tired and his spark had gone out. But regardless of whatever is going on, I'd rather hear it come from him than some user who allegedly knows what's up.

Without the anons to talk about the things the OCfags make it's not going to help much.

Poke posted an explanation on his pastebin instead of here due to it being "pretty much blogposting" but I don't think anyone ever said anything about it in thread.

Artists are the core of the thread, and the more good ones we have, the more likely the thread is to pick up and gain new followers.

Poke was always a fluke. There isn't any replacing him because he really was one of a kind.

And while I'm here, I also feel the need to give an update: A new comic IS on its way, it's just been taking forever since I've been really busy.

Aside form Roommates all I can think of is New Management and that thing Snax wrote, both of which updated much slower petered out a lot faster than Roommates ever did. Poke is an outlier in terms of skill and viewership, and while we may end up getting more slice of life waifu fics sometime down the line, there's no way in hell they'll ever be as consistently well written or as restrained and focused as his story was.

He's an outlier in skill because Roommates is a collaborative effort by multiple good writers that each put the story through the wringer to ensure quality rather than quickly type something up, proofread it for errors, and post it. Meanwhile, he's an outlier in viewership because Roommates chapters get posted in other places, like Poke's tumblr, the fnaf subreddit sometimes, other boards, etc., on top of it being able to piggyback off of Weaver's "fame". There are a lot of factors at work here to make Roommates what it is, and they could be recreated with enough autism. It's just that no one really gives enough of a shit to do it.

Exactly. The raw potential for this place at its peak is staggering, but the fact is that this whole thread is about people creating for the sake of entertainment, and the last thing anyone wants is to turn their hobby into a job. Poke excels because he's got a higher tolerance for the crunch than most other OCfags here, and as a result can put out more work at a higher quality. I've got no doubt that people like RootCellar or Protom could match him if they really pushed for it, but their approach to such things is far more casual, and at the end of the day, I'm just grateful that they can find it within them to make anything at all.

The only person I can think of off the top of my head that has as high a "crunch tolerance" as Poke is Ghost, and as much as people love shitting on him he's made - or attempted to make - a huge amount of content across a wide variety of platforms and genres.

Do you think things might have gone differently if Scott had been able to get Enragement Child and Puppet Man into the first game like he wanted?

Hard to say really, other than 20/20/20/20 mode being imposable, or the same really considering how it is beaten. Wouldn't mind if in the console release it has a separate mode for Fnaf 1 that adds them in.

BB probably would have served the same purpose as Bonnie/Chica jamming the doors if you took too long, and Puppet would have been overall redundant because Foxy already fills the whole "use your camera to avoid getting fucked" thing.

We don't know what gameplay mechanics they would have filled, though. It's silly to assume they'd act the same and perform the same way as they did in 2.

As selfish as it is to say, I wish that guy was more of a wastrel and had less of a life. He has a way of saying a lot with very few words that few other writefags really manage to replicate, and I like that he leaves things to the imagination sometimes rather than spelling things out. Probably be slightly less furry porn. Puppet is just a slendyman rip-off to most people, though. And the main reason why the first game got so much pull was the relatively unprecedented idea of creepy pizza robots, so he could have put a dent in that.

Drawfags usually have at least a few fans unless they're egregiously bad. Most OCfags have an apathetic reputation at the least.

A lot of the writefags and voicefags who've come and gone. Also many of the less skilled artists who are still good enough not to be hated on but not imaginative enough to make anything noteworthy.
