Mazda3 is a better car IMO

I don't understand the question.

Why do people buy the 320i?

>BMW 3 series

For when you want to pretend you're successful and moving up in the world but your Dad is still paying your health insurance.

They want a well built, practical, efficient, and affordable car and they don't really care how fast it is. Pretty simple to understand really

This. It'll also keep its value better than its rivals.

faster than a certain Toyota """sports car"""

I call bullshit, the corolla S destroys every other car in its class at the nurburg

Nice fantasy John

Veeky Forums. For when living in a cold, desolate, failed EU colony and living in a gray box apartment isn't fulfilling, come online and troll successful individuals who can afford cars.

How's the conformity of not being about to own your own means of self-defense, forced socialist mass transit, long lines, and everpresent conformity working out for you? At least you can buy a (used) new tracksuit and pretend to be cool.

everyone knows hündaī blows everyone off the road at auschwitz i'll stick to jap crap plastic everything nip nong black ice checkoutmywatsticker i am better than you because i am 19 and i am independent, dammit.

>mazda 3 is a better car than a 3 series
Are you fucking retarded? The 3 series is on a premium segment above.

more expensive != better than

340i > M3

prove me wrong faggots

ever since the e90 i have never liked the 3 series. the e90 was a huge step backwards in a general sense and the interior honestly felt like a cheap, shitty econobox, with the tt i6 being the only redeeming factor, and even then reliability was garbage.

the 2016 refresh didn't change a thing. bmw wants way too much for the 340, in the usa at least, and the engine is the only attractive part of the car. if not for the badge, lexus would be eating their lunch as the IS is a much nicer car all around and the 350 starts almost $10k cheaper than the 340.

so they can pretend they are better then the guy who bought an accord

Honestly dude, the e90 is the best chassis bmw ever made lol

It's unreal how power spoiled Burgers are.

I would have kind of understood it with the 316i but the 320 is perfectly fine.
But then again those cars are literally grocery getters here while in Burgerland everything with a BMW badge is commonly called "luxury"

Eh with a manual it isn't that bad of a car

>chassis

that's nice. the rest of the car needs to be good too though. not eating turbos helps.

Honestly only really dumb Americans think this is a luxury car.

Outside of 7 series and X5s most people who are properly educated in the US wouldn't even consider BMW luxury.

In my social groups it is normally associated with sports cars but not luxury.

Now Mercedes we mindlessly call luxury yeah.
But that is because the way purchasing an automobile works here is totally different than Europe.

You go to the dealer they have cars on the lot and normally they have tons of packages installed.

Only picky people like me order custom shit because I like base models with little add ins like leather seats.

When my uncle and I in France bought my cousin his first car it was a wild experience. Hardly any cars on the lot and all they had was base models with the fucking floor mats not even included.

You will never see that in the US that is why Mercedes and BMW are always associated with luxury here by the average person because they never sell the bare bones models you often find across Europe like the 3 series d and the A class etc.

It's a complicated affair and Americans range in terms of automobile culture and understanding due to our broad population.

For a day to day car (and a lot of them are company cars) they are perfectly good. Drive nicely, comfortable, well equipped, practical, looks nice (i.e. not brash or cheap), quick enough for the vast majority of people, and cheap to run.

Gone are the days of a 3 series being a "premium" model, it is a run of the mill saloon that is perfectly nice and does the job.

>In my social groups

You mean in your head, eurotrash. You ride rails, nothing more. Pull up you hoodie and listen to more arabic rap you subhuman piece of shit.

Why so buttblasted?

I kinda agree with this.
It seems like people who drive these low class "luxury" cars often have a massive chip on their shoulder, and wants to show they are rich and succesful (and this somehow rub off on their driving giving us those Audi and BMW "king of the road" stereotypes).

Its a great chassis but i hate the plasticky, squeaky interior. Im gonna have to pull my pillars and door panels and felt them

340i doesn't even have an LSD, it is a poseur car for poseurs, the only people who buy them are those who couldn't afford the M. At least the 328i/330i owners know their car is just a sedan.

Be woman
>want luxury car
>don't know or car what going fast is or what an engine is or does

The 320i is perfect for her.

>BMW ISNT LUXURY

K they are 'sport luxury cars with emphasis on sports but normies dont care. The BMW brand is prestige in the US to normies if it means anything to them at all.

Agreed
Also, E90 M3 > F80 M3

Why are burgers so easily triggered?
