>get an automatic transmission driving licence
>tell dad to buy his next car an automatic so i can also drive it

does he not want me to drive it or what?

He has no son.

I wouldn't want some low test bitch driving my car anyways

i fucking hate him, when he gets really old i will make sure he will suffer.

learn how to drive stick then you lil bitch

thats not the point, he could spend an extra $5k so i could drive it right off the bat? am i really not worth $5k in his eyes?

Ignorance at its finest.

I'm really going out on a limb here op, it based on your description it sounds like he may have done it because the manual is cheaper

If you need the resources of others to validate your self worth, you're not worth anything

So to look at things from his perspective, you learning stick saves him 5k. And you gain a valuable skill. Win win stop being a cunt.

i fucking hate you retards

probably not if you're throwing a fucking temper tantrum because your dad bought what he wanted with his money

Have him teach you manual and get your manual license or make money and buy an auto you fucking beta

I hope you will never learn how to use manual and get to envy your father you fucking cuck

what car is it even?

5k what? yuen? that surely can't be fucking usd.

fiat egea

>auto license

You're worthless

seriously, not wanting to drive a manual i can understand, if you just commute or generally don't care

But not being ABLE to drive manual is just pathetic

>get an automatic transmission driving licence
Just why?

>automatic only licence
You are an idiot
>complaining about your fathers car
It is his car, not yours. He can buy whatever he wants. Get your own

I wouldn't want my "son" driving my car in that situation either.

>automatic only licence
stay the fuck away from cars
stick to public transport

Why would he pay more for automatic when it's cheaper to get a bus pass for you

I want to applaud you for successfully baiting so many people. Truly masterful bait OP

>automatic transmission driving licence
What kind of 3rd world cuckstate of a nation do you live in?

??
That's the proper way to do it. This way you don't get retards learning manual alone in their shitbox on the streets.

>a valuable skill

If you're not working in some kind of automotive related industry, learning to drive a manual is not valuable skill at all. That is unless you are a car thief waiting for the next cuck to leave his car unlocked thinking no one will steal it because it's a manual.

Are you seriously retarded? How is it not a valuable skill? Have you never been in a situation where you had to drive a car that wasn't yours?
Fucking NEETs, I swear.

>This way you don't get retards learning manual alone in their shitbox on the streets.
...As opposed to learning automatic with another person in their shitbox on the streets?

>Have you never been in a situation where you had to drive a car that wasn't yours?
Yes. Guess what: They were all automatic.

Not in their shitbox. You'll be learning in a car provided by the driving school with a qualified instructor.
Btw you have to be 18 to post on Veeky Forums

>Have you never been in a situation where you had to drive a car that wasn't yours?
No?? Is your car always broken or something?

>Paying a driving school instructor to show you how to drive a car

I didn't realize I was speaking to a willing cuck.

No, if you have a job sometimes you have to drive the company's car.

It's the law in most countries.
Anyways, have you got any arguments for why there shouldn't be separate licenses for manual and automatic cars?

>If you're not working in some kind of automotive related industry, learning to drive a manual is not valuable skill at all

That's what you get for not putting the extra effort into driving a manual.

Hah! Your Dad is a fag, and you are well on your way to sucking cock too.

Literally living in a cucktry that liscencees based on transmission

>company car
>with a manual transmission

Fucking kek. I hope the company is a truck service and the "car" is a big rig in which case you'd have CDL anyway.

Yeah I've read that, your point, you hopeless shitposter?

Why do you hope that? Obviously the company car will be manual. It's cheaper to buy and repair and lasts longer. Company cars are meant to last for a lot of miles.

>It's the law in most countries.
That's my original question, dummy: Which county do you live in where you automatic and manual transmissions require different licenses???

in Europe we learn how to drive, not just how to steer.
plebs

I'm not OP but I live in Lithuania. To my knowledge most if not all European countries require separate licenses. I'm quite happy, because that means that some ricer who never properly learnt manual will not roll back into me at a stoplight.

>a job sometimes you have to drive the company's car.
In which case said job is probably in the automotive industry. There's not modern company that uses a company car with a manual transmission.

>There's not modern company that uses a company car with a manual transmission.
Now that's a bold statement, especially knowing how incorrect it is.

thats retarded, if you learn to drive manual you can drive both
in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy is just one license and you MUST learn in a manual.

Most European countries have a "full" license and an "auto-only" license. You only go for the auto-only one if your instructor thinks you shouldn't be driving stick, usually because of some mental problem.

Burden of proof is on you big boy. Let's hear it!

Yeah, if you get a manual license you can drive anything.
Hear what? A company name? Sure - UAB Adell Reklama

nuh huh
here in italy you can get an auto only license if you're missing a limb etc
i know a guy without his left arm than has a full license

>Yurop

Figures. The EU is compromised entirely of cuckstate nations.

ofc, theres special licenses for very special people, but the regular license is the manual, for 99% of the population

I researched it on my own.

Turns out he's right. Some European countries really do have restrictions based on transmission. Funniest shit I heard all day.

>c-cucks they drive manual and i cant
>muh retard proof country

t. butthurt yurocuck

You learn by definition in a manual, retard. You have to be an absolute cuck if you state "yes I want an auto only license"

>European
Irrelevant

In The Netherlands at least you can get an auto license and you'll be restricted to driving only auto.

With a manual license you can drive both.

>automatic transmission driving licence
KEK, here there is no such thing for cars, only for moped and scooters.

>living in a country that requires a separate license to drive automatic cars

t. yuropoor cucks

>Retard Proof
>Let's millions of rapefugees in every year since 2015 without proper screening
>Citizens are cucks to the state
You deserve everything you get.

That's not how it works, kiddo.

In most of europe you have a regular license for 99% of the population and also theres some special licenses for disabled people.

its a license for disabled people like most of Americans

Many Countrys in Europe have seperate driving lincenses. For example in Germany, if you have a driving license for manual you are allowed to drive automatic aswell but with only an automatic license you are not allowed to drive manual

Let's keep this thread clean, friends

yuros should not be on this board

>its a license for disabled people
So you basically have to lose a limb to allowed to drive an automatic car?

No but I don't know of anyone who voluntarily chose to handicap themselves by getting an automatic license.

Oh and btw, you should read these posts

>allowed to drive an automatic car
Restricted to only driving automatics, you can drive an automatic on a regular license just fine.

BYes, I took your bait. Fucking sue me.

>tfw american
>tfw missing both legs
>tfw still drive a Manuel

>auto driving license
My neighbor's wife had that license, he was a farmer and she was a housewife - that's about your skill level

yes because driving a stick is so hard that you should require an additional test for it. LOL. Europe is a joke

You're lucky.

You wouldn't be allowed to drive a manual if you lived in the EU. You'd have to get a special license and can only drive automatics. That's what happens in cuckstates, I guess.

Actually I'm legally supposed to only drive automatic with hand controls here in New York, but fuck that shit

Euro cucks man

That's cool actually. It gets people to learn something.

No it doesn't

Yes it does

How is that cool? I wanted to learn a manual so I bought a manual car and stalled it once. Making a big deal out of something so simple is just government overstepping. Either that or the population is so stupid that they had to mandate it.

not really

who the fuck decides to take a driving class because it's fun, unless they are already interested in cars/driving (and likely already know how to drive stick). especially in europe where it can be really expensive/time consuming. this does nothing for normans.

retard it saved op's dad 5k

Post pic of stumps

In Straya we have auto and manual.
Most cars are auto, and if you're an enthusiast and want to rip skidz you learn manual.
Some retarded soccer mum shouldn't be able to hop in a manual and fuck up royally in a vehicle they have no idea how to use. It's best to learn the transmission you intend to drive.

>live in a country where you have a difference license for manual and automatic

Holy shit that sounds like such bullshit. Driving an automatic takes no effort at all, whereas a manual one does. Splitting them up makes no sense at all.

n-no

Spoilsport >:|

Most of the time it's setup so people with a "manual license" can drive both, only autocucks get screwed over.

No it isn't a license for each. The regular license, where you learn in the manual cars driving schools have, allows you to drive any type of gearbox.
When you physically can't, or specifically state you don't want to learn in a manual, then you take that "auto only" license.

The problem is you guys are not used to see manual cars as the standard, so you're mistakenly calling then manual and auto licenses.

>never learn to drive manual
>OKAY YOU'RE ALLOWED TO DRIVE MANUAL NOW
Now THAT is bullshit. It's only possible in the US because 97% of people don't take the opportunity anyway.

It's a concept people in the US won't understand.

In most countries getting a license is a very time consuming and costly endeavor.

I learned to drive in MA, USA and it is considered one of the "strictest and expensive" states to learn in in the US and even that was only like $700 of classes and a $15 exam.

No need to have a manual test because no one fucking drives them. I bought one two years ago, taught myself in a parking lot and then I was fine to drive on the roads.

Not like it is hard to drive in the US anyway. Wide open roads and a culture that revolves around being in a car.

You don't take a separate license for both, tards that take the auto license never learned how to drive with a manual and never had to achieve an acceptable standard of driving. It doesn't make sense to allow them to immediately buy a manual and go to town in a vehicle they don't know how to use, and parents teaching people how to drive ends up situations like youtu.be/6N4tLAAy5Fg

People that sit manual tests can drive either transmission.

You're acting like it's such a large difference. No one who didn't learn manual is going to just get a manual car without at least educating themselves first.

I don't know what type of drivers ed you guys have, but I never learned much to anything about car functions in driving school. I learned more about the roads, laws, and roadside etiquette. I mean, basic functions like what drive, park, and reverse are but nothing more. A lot of that information is set up for the individual to take on, which on turn is like a set of responsibilities I'd imagine.

I feel like, to get a license you should be learning both sides of the spectrum in case of emergencies. There have been plenty of times in my life where if I didn't know how to drive a manual, I would've been fucked.

oh fuck off with that

driving is only 10% shifting and 90% looking at the road ahead of you, anticipating, turning/steering, and braking

Except that Americans do things before educating themselves about them all the time.

Driving a manual car is so much more fun than an automatic

i would buy an automatic if it was an SUV, not a regular car

Situations like what? I'm not watching a 7 minute video of a guy driving a Corvette without issue.

Thats why we have insurance. If you fuck up and cause damage, it's covered. Forbidding someone from doing it in the first place just sounds like too much overseeing control.

Yeah but it's not like you're asked if you're applying for manual or auto license.

It's just manual.
