Sonic games will be shit until they recognize Adventure gameplay is the right way to go. I say adventure gameplay losely, what I propose is this:
Main playable characters:
-Sonic (sa1 gameplay)
-Tails (sa1 gameplay but no races)
-Knuckles (sa1&2 gameplay but no emerald hunting)
Unlockable characters in 2P & mission mode:
-Shadow
-Espio
-Silver
-Amy
-Rouge
-Blaze
-Vector
-Charmy
-Honey
-Mighty
-Nack/Fang
-Bean
-Bark
-Ray

-Metal Sonic

Levels:
-Full 3D stages with no 2D sections
-All of the levels are exactly the same for each character, but each character has different abilities that make playing the levels more fun/interesting. They are also all completely optional to play as to avoid autistic screeching.
-all levels are similar to unleashed day & night stages
Hub worlds:
-hub worlds are similar to unleashed and adventure the explorability of adventure with all of the fun of the unleashed side missions/minigames and enemies
Chao garden:
-the chao garden from sa2 with some upgrades and a new hub
-more chao minigames
Story:

Well, Sparky, you're a well-composed person. You formal your posts exceedingly, and you don't yell at or cuss anyone out when they don't agree with you. Even if no one believes in your theories, you take it well and go about your day. This makes you way better than both Mobiusfag and Chris Chan.
I think that Mobius would be a perfectly acceptable name for the game world, because the overall design philosophy from Adventure to Generations was heavily inspired by real-world locations, but with modifications to make them more outlandish and fitting for a cartoon character like Sonic. It's similar to Ace Combat's world being called "Strangereal" because they do the same thing, though obviously less cartoonish. Like how you can make a mobius loop by cutting a normal loop, twisting it, and reattaching it, the overall Sonic design philosophy was to take normal settings and twisting them to make them more fitting as game locations.
But I don't think all the retarded SoA, cartoon, comic baggage and bullshit should be included, just the name.

Well, I said this in the previous thread. 'Mobius' was created by the Western canon that ended with the release of Sonic Adventure. Unlike Ivo Robotnik's name and Sonic's liking of Chili Dogs, the planet being some alternate world named 'Mobius' didn't stick around, as the planet was always "Earth". Eventually, the comics kinda-sorta followed that idea by making Mobius the same place as Earth, just in the far far future after aliens came and gene bombed the planet. But after the reboot, "Mobius" is officially gone from the entire franchise.
Sonic the Hedgehog lives on Earth, which is occasionally called 'Sonic's World.' SEGA/Sonic Team also seems to have some secret bible that says that the Sonic canon has two planets, "Earth" and "Sonic's World", but neither of which are called "Mobius", and I don't even fully believe it anyways. It might just be a meta design-choice kinda thing, because when you analyze the details in the games, it can't be two separate worlds.

Mobius never existed in the Japanese canon, which is the official canon. The Japanese manuals for Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, etc, make absolutely no mention of "Mobius". They refer to the planet as "Earth". This continues on in Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, etc.

That's what Earth is like in the Sonic Universe. Deal with it. The entire planet is pure chaos to the point that construction workers apparently design highways in loops as well, or maybe the chaos energy of the world naturally warps the environment in strange ways and the rings that appear are following the paths of chaos or something, I don't know.
The point is, the Earth is Sonic's World, and Sonic is like an embodiment of chaos, so it makes perfect sense for the Earth to follow suit and have abnormal geological features and magical phenomenon. There doesn't need to be any dumb "OH, this doesn't make sense, it can't be Earth, it must be some alien planet!" to justify any of it. It's just how the Sonic universe operates.

The games' original scripts never refer to the planet as Earth. That was mentioned in SA2's English script, but in Japanese it's just "the world"

There's no reason to tie it down to Earth because Mobius creates an entirely new universe and world. Sonic's world is just as whacky, if not moreso than the Mushroom Kingdom and obviously Mario doesn't live on Earth. Link doesn't live on Earth.
There's a reason SEGA says Sonic lives on his own world and not Earth, because it's dumb otherwise.
