Pirate Warrior is the least cancerous thing in the meta for one thing and second, yeah this card alone is huge for anti-aggro. There's also that other Divine Shield Taunt you can play after this on curve.

no it's possible for example mistress of mixtures and zombie chow, it's just for cards not to be played in aggro they need a huge downside for playing in an aggro deck

Bans are the worst thing to happen to competitive hearthstone. Pirate warrior is one of the most entertaining decks to watch and it keeps this brainless freeze mage deck from being played.
