dropping below 60fps in fighting games means your opponent gets fucked via netcode because it waits for you or forces resyncs

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!
If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

You get better. all you have to do is just know your punishes and maximize them.
When people realise their bullshit doesn't work cuz you punish them it often makes them fallback on what ;else they have and often it's not much for many people..
I've never had to deal with this for more than a couple days for any given game because I know how to learn from my mistakes. Try getting good maybe?

What's bugging me about it the motherfucker I play with is Bronze-ranked and has the most basic Ken I've ever seen, yet I feel almost powerless trying to stop him.
I'm usually pretty good at understanding what I can do to make sure that I don't lose the next match, but damn if I can't wrap my head around endless pressure & rushdown in SFV.
I'dunno how to really describe going up against him, but it's like his style of play makes me hit my internal panic button and forget all of my training mode combos/set-ups and just do dumb shit while hopping around like a retard playing KOF '98.
