He's the main character of the game, I didn't have a reason to not pick hin.

I chose him because I wanted to keep riding the despair train, even though I felt more empathetic towards A2 at that point to be honest.

But letting the tragedy go it's full course felt better than letting it get up to the very last part and then just leaving it.

Nah. He is so Drakengard it hurts. He's completely horrible, but he's great. I like most of the DoD3 characters, but they are a bunch of caricatures.
