Audi is by far the best German automaker. It baffles me people still buy Mercedes and BMW when Audi has better engines, better interiors and a more comfortable ride. But if people want to get sucked into paying 2x as much for an inferior S4 who am I to argue.

One of my work friends just got an s4 with a supercharger and has done some work upgrading pullys and ecu and intercooler. Its very nice and very fast. He hasnt had it that long so we will see how the reliability is but it is one of the fastest straight-line cars I've been in. And it handles pretty well in the twisties too. Of course for whats hes paid it had better be fast.

Having been in various makes and models from working as a mechanic, Audi was the bottom rung. The seats were shitty and uncomfortable, the dashboard material was terrible, the plastic inside faded and greyed almost instantly and they had incredibly bizarre problems I've never seen before.

I had a TT come in that would sound the alarm beep every time the indicator was used and the rattling from the airvents was unbelievable. It was shameful.

Other cars aren't perfect but Audi is the most imperfect "luxury" car maker I've ever dealt with. Fuck their seats are terrible.

Audi seats tend to be really stiff considering how much upholstery they seem to have. Same goes for the suspension.

That`s the majority of new German cars you see on the streets though.

Owner of a manual A1 with a 122hp TFSI here.
It's:
- a bit overpriced (you basically pay more ofr prettier version of a polo)
- audi robs you everytime you have to fix some minor shit
- disappointing to drive despite a good power/weight ratio
- it's solidly built, not shitty vibration or the interior falling in pieces after 3 years like I experienced in a Clio
- never had a serious issue in 6 years while I have friends who already changed their fiat/renault/peugeot/ford
- inside is good looking, and way ahead of everyone in the compact segment outside of Mini
- it's not really comfortable (but hey, it's the size of a shoebox)
- it's a fairly good looking car with the S-line pack

I bought one because my father was a good client and could get me a substansial deal (he is a fan of the brand for some obscure reason to me) but I already know I won't go back there
Audis are the cars equivalent of iPhone to me, it's a safe but overpriced purchase.
