Ruined

Itt: cars that would have been perfect except for one disastrous flaw.

Pic related- v12, beautiful, cheap, easy to work on, but....

Nobody?

THE ONLY THING IS THE SHITTY ENGINE

>auto only

Easy to work on? I thought Jaguar products sucked to work on?

> I've never had to, so no idea really

But I think these are awesome looking cars, at least from the outside.

>easy to work on

Jag engines are the devils asshole.

>easy to work on

What are inboard brakes

>v6

>205 hp

>fwd

Every single truck that has a six cylinder that isn't an inline 6

every single FWD car

>Auto only

Two words
Italian Electronics

Get a converter faggot.

Also the fact that its the most unrealiable car ever made

>not a v8

No ms3...

I had to run new hydraulic lines for a vert top on a mid 2000s jag, fucking nightmare

I can smoke the fuck out of any ruined cars ITT in my 2000 EK hatch with a couple of simple mods.

>v8 engines
>good

Put a turbo on it yourself, fags. Problem solved.

>Not a twin turbod straight six

>No tri-rotor

Fatal problem: Ol' Abe freed the niggers

>more power than the previous version's v8

yeah that's rough

>not any other engine instead of the meme triangle

Yea.. simple as that huh...

>200hp 4-cylinder
What's the problem again?

>mfw i can buy a 205hp honda civic for less

My understanding is that the mid-90's Jags aren't that bad.

>automatic only

kill yourself my man. :)

I think the philosophy here is that it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

That and you learn how to drive it, then mod it for more power and learn how to drive it again, then tune it some more, etc.

But yeah, it should have an option for a tarbo at least.

looks like someone tried to make a cool car but wasn't creative enough

People on the Jag enthusiast forums have manual trans kits available for these.

They say that the car is completely transformed by it. Like, if you have the means, do it, and you'll have a beast of a roadster that's about 1000% cooler than a Miata.

Still a gt car, I'm not sure I'd compare it to an mx5, maybe a drop top caddy?

>Didnt sell this front end in the US
Is this the ultimate example of Japanese xenophobia?

The XJ is a lot smaller than you think.

i think the biggest flaw is that it didn't come with the sr20det

Those came with a manual.

youtube.com/watch?v=lgUuRVkgJmg

Not in the US

The real problem is the horrible reliability and build quality. When the xjs was new the ceo's at jaguar didnt even use them because they just fell apart most of the time.

And here I was thinking this board was nig-free

Shut the fuck up about your shitty civic.

86 only lost because its automatic, hardly anyone gets this in automatic.

>Comfy as fuck
>Good size back seat
>Plenty of trunk space
>Decent looking
>Snappy enough for a DD

Only drawback:
>Auto only

It seems like that's a common trend for us

>not Twin turbo V16

Still BTFO everyone though, imagine what it could have done with a proper manual

These cars are GTs. Literally the perfect candidate for an auto.

I will say that engine should have ended up in at some point in its life though

Hows a v12 easy to work on

Swap it, since they are easy to work on.
U can buy parts really cheap since in the UK those cars rusted away and the gearbox lived

>slow as fuck
>transverse v6
>fwd
>ugly as shit
>interior from ikea

Like working on 2 6 cylinders.

I think OP's point is the engine bay isn't stupid cramped.

>Obviously never driven one

Nah, bro, they're alright. If it had a 5, or even 6 speed it would be great. Rear wheel drive would be cool too, I guess, but for a daily driver in a state where it snows I kind of need front wheel.

>CVT only.

>No simple, lightweight, non-hybrid version.

>Cadillac never made it.

>Cadillac
>never
>made
>it

>Why didn't you make it, Cadillac?

>It replaced the rather nice EP3 Type R, but for some reason came with a solid rear suspension which fucked handling and, apparently, made it slower than the car it replaced.

Cadillac is unclear on the concept of halo cars.

It's like they're determined to be just above meh tier.

It's nice when they rebody a corvette though.

its pretty cool user

and here I was thinking this board was free of racist scum.

there are plenty of GT cars that came with a manual see Aston Martin, but yes the 3 rotor should've came in the FD Rx7.

>Electronic handbrake.

>Cadillac is unclear on the concept of halo cars.
>It's like they're determined to be just above meh tier.
Exactly. This, IMO, is why they've never gone to the next level and, essentially, cuts to the core of their problem.

>and here I was thinking this board was free of racist scum.
Facebook is >>>thatway

i dont use facebook bub.

Stormfront is >>>that way

>and here I was thinking this board was free of racist scum.
It is. Only the good kinds of racists here. The smart ones. And in saying that, those dirty pavement apes ruined that car and I'll never forgive Booth for killing Lincoln before he could send the niggers back to their home country.

>Only the good kinds of racists here. The smart ones.

You belong on reddit mate.

>free from racist scum
>on Veeky Forums
Heres your (you)

Engine has been listed in the top 10 engines in production for 3 out of the last 4 years. So much salt in your jelly.

2edjee4me

>/pol/ and /b/ is all of Veeky Forums

When did I say that? This website is ubiquitously known as the asshole of the internet, if you want a racism free hugbox you can carry your faggot ass back to plebbit.

le smart raciste

>bmw

Early V12s had a 5 speed and the i6 was available with a 5 speed

Also the v12 had a 4L80E from 1993 onwards. It was a huge improvement.

Fairly simple to put a manual behind the v12 as well.

WRONG

>V6
>automatic only
>parts bin engineering

It really is depressing because the prowler had a ton of potential

Alfa Romeo 4c
>dodge dart gearbox i.e. DRY CLUTCH

When I see this, all I see are boomers.

>perfect handling
>low center of mass
>high revving engine
>200hp
>easy to drift or grip
>great styling
>comfy interior
>less than 30k out the door

Oh wait it's perfect nvm

That transmission works great in the 4C actually. The side scoop is for cooling

>a u t o t r a g i c
It's trash m8

manual is trash compared to it though

>DCT
Alfa picked that transmission because it's faster than a manual one.

>he can't drive stick

:eyeroll

such a cringy response

I learned manual in middle school

learning something doesnt make it better just because you know it

except for logic you should learn that

>clutch gets hot
>cant shift
brava alfa romeo

>v6 turbo
>looks amazing for a truck
>280hp
Only comes in 4 speed auto

>and he drives auto too!

dang all these kids wanting objectively worse cars and calling them ruined because they dont like them

grow up

>racist scum

Lmfaooooooo just leave

It's fine though, that's what the side scoop is for. The only way you'd possibly overheat it is by sitting in stop-and-go traffic in auto mode. You need to put it in neutral or keep your foot on the brake enough that the transmission does that itself. Dragging the clutch with your foot lightly on the brake will kill it.

>that's what the side scoop is for
dunno lad. many reviewers said the 4c's transmission still overhead no matter what.

It's possible in stop-and-go traffic only, there are no problems at speed because it's engaged. It helps to not inch up every time the car in front of you moves when in traffic. On the track or an open road, it should never overheat even if you push the car.

That said, a lot of reviewers don't like the 4C because it's a bit too compromising for most people. For example:
youtube.com/watch?v=1a-sRR6ULOY

dude you work for alfa romeo or do you own one?

I plan on buying one in a couple months, been doing some research until then. It's a really neat car, but there are a ton of quirks.

isn't there a containment board for people like you?

You must have learnt about Veeky Forums from Buzzfeed or Vice I guess.
Keep your bullshit on your containment boards, we're here to talk about cars
