why the fuck does it matter if he's an admin. he joined as a player. he should be treat the same.

To show that when given the scenario with no knowledge that an admin was involved that other admins would reach the same conclusion.

Same reason, I think, that admins preferably deadmin when playing and are required to deadmin when playing sec, heads, antag, or AI/borg and that's largely to ensure the players that everyone gets the same deal regardless of who they are. As you say, he should be treated the same, but what's better is if he's treated the same and players know he's treated the same.
It's also the same reason I posted that entire big log of our discussion in the admin-only Discord channel - players should know exactly what the admins are doing because you police us.
