I think I can explain the ending of DaS I based on the new DLC.
The Serpents werent all that powerful. They were beings of the Abyss. So they wanted to let the abyss seep into the world.
Frampt was really deluded, and sided with Gwynn. Kaathe wasnt "pro-human" as he seemed to imply, he just wanted to extend the abyss.
That's also why in the Dark Lord ending of DaS I they and 8 other serpent heads bow to you, because they are many and Frampt may have finally come to reason.
It isnt all that deep but I quite like it. THis dlc truly brings the saga to a close.

guys i went to steam and saw the tags for ds3 dlc the ringed city.
well i was actually browsing sexual content and the top seller was the 2nd dlc with tags such as-
dating sim, casual, relaxing, cute and memes.

It's a spear with a strong as fuck offensive buff.
Pyro's probably your best bet, sorcery is god awful, miracles are okay for some buffs and healing spells (kind of redundant since you're trading it for estus anyway, but still neat).
