I think my 1000cc Africa twin get's similar efficiency while still doing 0-100 in 4 seconds or so.
Put a top box on it and commute on it, legally splitting lanes and such. Pretty good.

I get almost the same mpg in my gas powered car and don´t need to pay as much taxes.
