How does SPERG compare to CACO? I've been looking for an alchemy overhaul. Or is SPERG a total perk overhaul?

Its a total perk overhaul. There's actually a SPERG CACO patch...

There's actually a SPERG, CACO, Ordinator patch which is probably what I would recommend. I'm enjoying SPERG a lot though because its just really fun to play and level with. IDK if I'd use it for every playthrough but one of the interesting things it does is theres a lot of cross training between different trees.

The SPERG exclusive thing though is that the main line perks, eg. novice, apprentice, adept, expert, master perks you get for free at those levels. A lot of the perks scale with your level in the skill too so you just get better as you actually play the game. You also get skill points for doing quests.

Ooh, I think I'll give that a try. Sounds interesting, maybe a bit OP though, depending how it's done.
