Also, it's the last time I make a thread. If that one dies again, I give up.

Farewell /civ4xg/. It was fun having you around, but even Stellaris is too crap to keep you alive.

To bad even civ 6 is to bad to keep it alive. What happend? I played civ 4 for years and it is still popular. ;_;

Guess there's nothing to talk about.

Everyone's finished their Stellaris playthroughs and are waiting for Banks / Utopia to drop before starting more FUN to talk about.
Or, at least, that's my situation, and as an autist with no understanding of empathy, I can't imagine lived experiences other than my own.

Guess so, but even so, what else? Even with Banks, there won't be anything to talk about. People will still complain about the warscore being bugged, the game being rigged to surround you with hostile rivals, the AI being stupid, and so on.

Well at least it will have somewhat more interesting domestic politics. I hope they tie leaders to factions or do something with them giving them personal ambitions.

Same. Playing other games, like Fallout 4 and Kerbal Space Program while I wait for Stellaris to update. Also waiting for Elite Dangerous to update.

Kinda had fun with Wayward Terran Frontier making custom ship deckplans but that game is way too early access.

Tried Stars in Shadow and that game is a good MOO2 clone, but the problem is that it's an exact clone of MOO2 so I got bored of it quickly.

SO HOW ABOUT AI WAR?

lel
/dgg/ - dead genre general?

The DanganRonpa fans will frown if that happens.

>Even with Banks, there won't be anything to talk about.
I'll drop my RPs here at least.
Because I am enough of a faggot to do RPs but not enough of a faggot to avoid being banned on the "No heteros allowed" Paradox forums.

>No heteros allowed
What the fuck? They're like 95% of the population.

Thoughts on Macedonia/Persia?
Scenario seems fun
Will the game be fixed this time?

99.9%.
But I was being hyperbolic.
Then again they are Swedish, so who can be sure?

Fucking Iroquois.

I hate Hiawatha, turn coat faggot even when trying to be nice to him.

eagerly awaiting this thread to die for a week only to be resurrected as /sg/ full of /gsg/ and slav shitposters

lmao I totally didn't think about that. All the people here would migrate back there only to be out-autisted once again

Man, that auto build mod really takes the pain out of being expansionist.

I don't use the auto-placement features (except for power hub and mineral processing), but the effect is amazing. Except for a little bit of hand-holding at the start to place the colony, clinic, first few farms and clear blockers, all I need to do is glance at the planet list on the side of the screen, and if there's construction in progress I leave it be. If there's no building taking place I go see what needs doing, if all the tiles are filled with max-upgraded buildings then I chuck it in a sector and colonise a new world. (I'm a control freak so I don't let sectors redevelop).

>implying /gsg/ wouldn't pop a blood vessel
We already tried to become a strategy games general, remember? /gsg/ threw a bitchfit and spammed the willy wanker pasta.

Natives are always faggot.

>watch a Civilizations V Let's Play on Youtube
>diplomacy, war, science
>same guy does a Civ VI LP
>just war

Is the game that bad?

maybe we should try it again
at least it'd keep the thread bumped

Going out in a blaze of glory? For honor and glory?

I'm gonna take a day off to play on patch day for Stellaris, hope it's not too buggy.
Has anyone seen new government stuff pertaining to being capitalist pigs that looks promising?
Will there be crossbreedinng with sexy xeno concubines?
>mfw a hooman jingles his gold pressed latinum near me and his female is wearing clothes like a whore

Dude, it's not Space CK2.

so foreigners are always not faggot?

For England, James?

For Eorlingas?

The header already says stetegy games are welcome. ignore this fag, he's just whining because we didn't want to change the thread tag from /civ4xg/.

It's the opposite though?
One of the most annoying things in 6 is the 3 full screen popups every time you meet a civ and then ongoing full screen "diplomacy" every turn.

There's much more happening with science and culture in 6 too.

Crossbreeding should be available for people who follow the genetic ascension path.
>inb4 someone spergs out about how unlikely that is, in a game that already has FTL travel and space dragons.

Maybe it's because he's editing the LP to make it look like a franco-german documentary, but in his Civ5 LP, he does mention trade with other nations, while in Civ6, he only mentions going to war with everyone.

Then again, his Civ5 playthough it plagued with barbarians, so he has issues getting started.

For ____you____

>missing the get

Enemy federation delcared war on me in Stellaris.

Can I force them to cede planets to me if I win? Or can I only defend?

you have to declare your goals before you or they win otherwise you get nothing

Where now the horse and the rider?

Sharpe's Rifles?
I tried watching it, saw that the bad guys were French, and dropped it.

I'd rider if you know what I mean

Such is the life of the eternal anglo.

>fought the humans a decade ago for a couple planets that I needed more than them
>humans now make up my clone army because my geckos are weak
>want to vassalize the remaining humans
>8 other empires have guaranteed their independence

Should I start Galactic War Two now or take the "peace in our time" route of chipping away at the pink and green Sudetenland on my left?

Buy Stellaris now or wait for the expansion to come out?

>8 others empires
Don't risk it.

Englishes are like Japanese.
>live on a island
>overinflated ego
>think they're superior to everyone else
>muh bow
>all inbred with small dicks
>muh relevance on global geopolitical scale

When you git big enough that you're chomping at the bit for a way to DoW before treaty timeout, Independence Guarantees are a godsend to force people into war whom you otherwise couldn't.
But when the hydrogen you actually want is the guaranteed hydrogen you're kinda shit out of luck.
Go Sudetenland.

If you get it now you can understand how shit it is before seeing if the expansion and update fixes anything

Literally no point in buying it now because any game you start will become unplayable next week.

Why?

I think he means your save might be incompatible if you start a game now. I'm still of the opinion you could just start to learn the mechanics now if you're bored, you might appreciate the dlc more then.

I bought mine a couple of days ago. Nova edition + expansion and shit worth 70 bucks. I'm kinda regretting it that I didn't wait for the next sale.

The position of /civ4xg/ in Veeky Forums will not be determined by its appeasement of /gsg/ but by its power. /civ4xg/ must concentrate its strength and hold it for the favorable moment, which has already come and gone several times. Since the shitposting of /sg/, our frontiers have been ill-designed for a healthy body politic. Not through speeches and majority decisions will the great questions of the day be decided—that was the great mistake of /sg/—but by iron and blood.

>giving Johans your money
If I learned anything from /gsg/, it is to pirate Paradox Games.

Unfortunately, our population is fluctuating. Sometimes we must fight for our survival, and sometimes it's an easy cruise to the bump limit.

What is the point in the "collector" versions? They don't give you a season pass.

>tfw none of my portait mods show up in Stellaris
Fuck. I just want to make GroBgermaniums in space and I can't even give my humans Imperial German uniforms.

the bad guys are english

The Commonwealth entered a federation with the orange on the far left and all the independence guarantees became void so I took their homeworld. Trying to widdle them down to an acceptable warscore for vassalization, before this one it was saying I'd need a warscore of 105%.

My galaxy is very messy right now.

You know, I fully understand why all strategy games have clustered starts. It's to make sure the AI away from you has enough time to develop to be relevant against the player.

It still pisses me off.

That redguy looks like a total moron.

But what's so important with losing the colours? What does that mean, exactly? he lost a flag?

Also,
>"The man who loses the King's colours loses the King's friendship."
FUCKING
BURNED

That's the Hiroshima of burns. The Nagasaki of toasting.

Yes, he lost a flag.

The colours are the flag and standard of the army, state or king, carried into battle by a unit and used as a centerpiece and rallying point for the unit, losing them is considered a besmirchment of the king or state, abandoning the colours is basically the same as abandoning the your oath to die for the sake of the state or king so it's a huge dishonor. This tradition is mostly traced back to Rome where legionary standards were given a similar treatment, legionary standards were considered the soul of the legion and represented their duty to Rome and it's people, losing a standard would often result in extreme punitive measures, from ordering the legion in question on a suicide mission, to decimation, or a straight disbanding of the unit and forbidding the use of the legions name and number.

Keep the posts coming! They are much enjoyful! Do you have any allies?

>there are "Omega aliens" on my map
>they even have association treaty with my federation
>no project in mission log to learn their lingo
how fucked am I? Will they end up contacting me eventually?

Thanks! Those orange guys on my right are vassals, and actually extremely helpful. My last two wars they're right in there charging unto the breach when I send in my dropships. I also have a defensive pact with the dark green on the upper right, we are of equivalent power.
I'll be playing again in an hour or two.

>ordering the legion in question on a suicide mission, to decimation, or a straight disbanding of the unit and forbidding the use of the legions name and number
So yeah, it's kind of really important. Armies and traditions...

Don't call us we'll call you

spooky

Can't hit a rug without a ninja popping out. Gross.

>tfw two perfectly habitable worlds for my empire
>tfw right beside my core worlds
>tfw not allowed to touch them because dreadnought
Some day I will kill you.

youtube.com/watch?v=KzcG4whQerQ

Former Human colonists who have long ago lost contact with Earth have once again ventured into space under the banner of the
Galaktisches Imperium. The totalitarian despotic empire while far from perfect managed to keep order and peace within the fledgling empire. After a period of rapid expansion, the xenophobic militarists have run into a wall impeding their expansion. Namely another xenophobic and militaristic empire. This other empire, the Centralized Ztrakpor Systems has laid a claim to one of the systems that the
Galaktisches Imperium had meant to colonize. Now both empires have closed their borders and prepare for war with the native species of the system caught in the crossfire as the curtain rises on new galaxy.

are you the cute sanctimonious gecko guy?

in either case good luck

Geckos are gross.

Should I integrate this vassal? I already have a significant number of them inside my empire from conquering one of their planets and then spreading them to appropriate worlds. I've never done it before, will there be trouble?

I am indeed. Soon all the galaxy will have mandatory car insurance.

Lizards are gross. They lick their own eyeballs.

Non-sentient lizards lick their own eyeballs. Mine have understood that eyeball licking is a bad habit and a social faux pas for generations.

Make Space Prussia great again

Lizards deserve extermination for licking their own eyeballs, and for ignoring Yelp reviews.

Should I? The humans are uppity but nothing I can't manage. Everyone else is already pretty happy.

Then don't let them vote.

Also just noticed this one.

But if I take away their voting rights they'll be even more pissed?

You can just kill them. Dead people don't get pissed.

My ethics don't allow it fampai. The Diri loves all of the geckogod's creatures. The humans will remain the problem child of our family for now. At least they make good clonetroopers.

Please integrate the avid mountain climbers! They seem to be all about netflix & chill!

4 u

I know how you feel.
I'm in kind of early mid-game and can't colonize a perfect 90% habitable planet for my fungus friendos, because some intergalactic fucking Walter White decided to cook in that area.

At least you can see their strength. I'm at 50k fleet power and still scared to approach that system.

Easy :
>save
>send fleet
>see strength
>load
>get hated for being a savescummer

It doesn't show me though, I tried taking them on around 2250 and it's just a skull. Somebody told me that means they're over 100k.

Crystal guys usually aren't over 4k. You probably have something else like the Dreadnought or Cthulhu.

That guy was talking about Dreadnoughts.

Anyway, should I enlighten these shitty plant savages I have living in a neighbouring system? Surely I can't let them be living like niggers without my intervention?

I'd wait until they have a society and send in infiltrators.

don't forget the obsession with tea

I seriously hate this new way of doing neutrals
>99% of galaxy completely safe
>1 system you better lube up

just makes the early game extremely boring. can you mod it back somehow? what files did they change?

Won't you have problems with them being Spiritualists and you a Mateerialist?

What ethics are they? If they match you I'd do it.

We're both spiritualist and xenophile, its all good brah.

Ah. I assumed you're Materialist because of the 'Masters of the material plane' part.

Yeah, that too.
And the British don't have strange porn, through they have a strange obsession with Monarchy, despite killing a lot of their kings. In France, we only killed one of our kings, and then we tried something else.

Check out ScepraX's mods. He has four different ones that randomly spawn certain things all across the galaxy at various intervals of time, which can be established from the policies menu.

Two of them spawn waves of Space Monsters and Pirates of different difficulties each. The other two spawn new star systems and resources each.
