It's not like Pull-A-Part. Copart auctions off the cars to people online and then they come and get them. Sounds basically like IAAI, where I work. Cars come in, they get cleaned out roughly, some of them vacuumed, we start the cars, check to see if they run and drive, and then put them in the inventory and they'll be in inventory for a month or two and then come out to the sale rows and are available for auction then. I'm not sure if that's how Copart does it 100% but from the website it seems pretty much that way. The cars that don't get bought for that week go back up for auction some other time, and some cars go directly to junkyards like Pull-A-Part.

I was cleaning out my buddy's Pontiac Sunfire since I'm getting it for $20. It was like a time capsule from the early 2000s to now. Luckily it was mostly just trash.

The worst was the trunk, which had a full unopened case of cherry coke of which half had evaporated and there was some cardboard in there with mold that had spread so the entire contents of the truck were tossed and disinfected.
