Depending on how old you are you could have been doing the FIRE method and be closer to retirement than most.
Honestly you need to quit drinking and look into finding a better job. In your current state you aren't going to be breaking ground with a successful business. Unlike the memes portrayed here most businesses will require more hours and harder work than wagecucking despite what they will tell you here.

strangely I have never considered this as I've always worked for "big" companies that never miss payroll. what exactly HAPPENS in this type of situation? what are your options?
No, and those "decent measured shots" become larger and more frequent as the years go on. And then maybe somehow you manage to have a family. So you start having to hide the smell on your breath and the empty bottles.
Im a wagecuck too but actually enjoy my job, there is never much work to do, i just come in and work maybe an hour of all 8 and the rest of the time i shitpost and masturbate on the toilet, i never get home tired, i get paid way too much for what i do, i live alone so barely have any expenses and have no addictions like OP. I have nearly 60k in investments (mainly btc) and throw in an extra couple hundred € every month.
