Ranged attacks are useless because the point that you lock on to and where the boss actually take damage have no relation to eachother whatsoever. Ranged characters have to use gimped fucking melee. So yeah, I summoned.

It did.
It's a good weapon, especially for lower level/lower stat builds. The scaling is shit but the base damage is big and it has a natural fire buff that's easy to maintain so it performs well without many stats. On my level 80 strength build, it was the strongest UGS I had until the heavy buff made the Greatsword ridiculous.

The only downside is that it's shorter than average.
