So I'm really making the game. The map is already done. How do you want the provinces?

I planned to make them like in TW, but what happens when they are sieged? I have 2 ideas.

1. The siege is a large battlefield with defensive buildings for the besieged.

2. If the enemy marches into the city, it is insta-conquered. Only way to prevent this is to have a friendly army cover it in its' zone of control.

The first option is similar to TW games and would require more work. The second is more similar to Paradox style and easier to implement.

How do I increase my naval range, other than those shitty techs in the naval science tree?
I know I don't have the techs for colonization right now, but I want to be ready when I do so I can snatch up pacific islands before the Euros get them all.

Normally I don't have to worry about this shit because I I'm playing in Europe and have plenty of opportunities to conquer an unciv and get a foothold in Africa or wherever.
From this position I can't see any good provinces to conquer to put colonies in range though. There's Galapagos, but it seems stupid to make an entire acquire state CB for a worthless and unpopulated island, and there's Hawaii, which the US has already sphered, putting it out of my reach.

I gave up on trying to take a treaty port from Japan because the US kept white peacing out of their war with the Shogun every time I tried to get in on the action.

Also does anyone know whether there is still an event in HPM to make Yucatan join the FRCA if it becomes independent? I looked in the the mod files and found the event for Panama, which already happened for me in any case, but I didn't see one for Yucatan anywhere.

For DLC you only need to run the activator, just run it again if the dlc ever stops working

How do I change accepted/primary cultures of a country in an already existent save game?

It would be easier to just code a decision visible only for your tag that gives you the cultures you want. Look in the decisions files and copy the syntax they use.
