STI engine

wider tires

13b-rew

easy

My Build:

>Swap out the subi motor for a 20B rotary engine.
>upgrade drive line and change the diff to something that can handle the new engine
>New brakes, bigger
>bigger tires for better grip
>Functioning Aero kit
>Upgraded struts, roll cage
>make it look like a shitty GT86, make it look like its gutless

Honda K20 swap.

>300hp at crank
>Need a tear down at 400hp
Why replace a weak engine with a slightly less weak engine.

Ls1 swap with a blower.

Boxer 12?

This and a griffon aero kit

the 3.8L flat six in the cayman gt4

>2jz with an appropriately sized single turbo, around 500-600hp at full boost
>Decent coilovers, adjustable rear lower control arms
>18x10 wheels with 285's
>Battery relocated to trunk, as much weight reduction and redistribution as possible without sacrificing comfort.

For that price you might as well buy an m3.

this is good, decent weight distribution will negate the extra billion tons put of front by the 2jz

Turbo carb'd Volkswagen 1600 E-motor swap

Fuck yeah

Ford Coyote v8 lightly worked for response and top end power, great engine in a great chassis.

>"But if you put an 88mm turbo on a boxer or rotary you can make more power"

Yeah but this is an 86 and naturally aspirated response is king.

>86
>comfort
pffhh

What's everyone's obsession with the 2jz? Where's the love for 1UZ or 2UZ?

>Must do a engine swap
fuck off. just throw a supercharger on it. 3 hours and you're done

LS454R :^)

I know it's not possible to completely negate the weight gain, but you can mediate it.

Tbqh I just love how straight 6's sound

This shit looks great, but their site is claiming a 77hp gain, what else can you do to add power while keeping it all under $10k?

>mount a tiny 3SGTE as far as you can

if I wanted a a corvette I would buy a corvette.

This is some *high* quality japanese wizardry right here

Volvo T5

Or a old mercedes six to make people mad I didn't go for anything else, and then outrun them all.

Coyote Aluminator XS from a Boss 302. Can be NA tuned for 500hp/400trq and rev to 8400.

>3S-GTE
>20B-REW
>LSx
>Porsche 981 3.8l flat-6

How about the 256hp EZ36D boxer 6?

I'm surprised that people don't mess around with these things more often
Seems like it'd rip with boost

26b twin turbo
call it a day

>implying a stock M3 would be faster than this

Kek I wonder how stupid this would be

Because its made of glass like every other subaru engine

JIB JANK, JONKEL JILLETE

HUP HUP HUP
GUUUNT

>some sti swap
>coilovers
>light wheels
>sticky tyres
>spoiler, splitter
>recaros
>remove spare tyre
done.

rebuild engine, run fuckloads of boost, win

Just buy a car that isn't shit and takes about $1000000000000 to go faster than an evo.

Have you ever heard 2jzs irl? They are incredibly weak.

1. Swap Toyota 86 engine into BRZ
2. 500lb weightlifting set set in the back
3. Extra catalytic converters
4. Swap BRZ engine into Toyota 86
5. Pic related

Yeah because everyone on the internet runs cherry-picked 2JZ's that are fresh from the factory.

Wrong

>must do engine swap
Why?

Quad rotor, quad turbo
>Pic related

Because this

>quad turbo
for what purpose

to destroy the engine

To be honest the 1uz would be my dream swap for my mk2 supra, might be too hard to pull off alone though. It's not a boiracer car, more of a comfy gt vehicle for long drives.

It would make more sense to just ditch the economy tune than do an entire swap, though. Just keep an accessport or something in the car to switch tunes around (daily and gottagofast, etc) ditch the factory exhaust for true duals, front end camber correct kit, different wheels and tires, Hawk pads.

Does gt86 really get better with just a tune?

God damnit i could have sworn Cobb made an AP for the 86 twins. They do get better with a tune yes, but I'll be fucked if I can find the company that actually makes the product.

Found it, ECUTEK. Will have to look into reliability long term but it looks like it's just not emissons-legal stuff.

Also looks like true dual exhaust might be out of the question. No huge deal, then UEL burble exhaust note is possible. Just wish there was a good option for a central exhaust tip.
