They've always been ugly

Comparatively the hilux is much more basic. The problem with US cars is that they've made them too flashy and "new" looking. The hilux looks like it is from the early 2000's, which indicates that they don't believe they have to redesign it every year in order to sell more.

Evos and Stis have always looked like riced out econoboxes. The last gen Impreza and the late Lancer were probably the ugliest of the lot though, they somehow gave the impression of being korean.
