- Bosses to wind up before they then take off half your health with SHOCKWAVES on slight body movements

Mechanically he's fun as fuck, zipping around the place and throwing curse shit at you with his cape
Thematically he's completely lame, in my opinion at least. He's got no presence in the DLC, aside from being a summon in the first half of the DLC and pointing out non lethal falls. I understand he was looking for the dark soul to complete the painting, but the leadup to the fight was so brief it was fucking laughable.

It had so little impression on me I might as well have walked through the fog doors to see Executioner Smough, Dragonrider or the fucking Capra Demon standing there. He may not be the last boss in the game thematically but he's the last boss of the last bit of souls content for a long time - and it's a bizarre note to end on, fighting a red hooded guy who was barely introduced in the previous DLC and has very little characterisation, in a DLC that was slated to tie up several story ends and provide a satisfactory end to the series.

Like I used to play SL80 almost exclusively but I knew the final DLC everyone would be going in at SL120, I can't be the only one making the same decision.

How are you supposed to dodge the red after-hit that each of his sword attacks make in second and third phase?

Not him but I was SL100 because my build was min/maxed for that SL, and I saw no reason to level up further since everything higher than that for PvP or PvE would've just been HP/Stamina/FP bloat for me.

So I kept around SL100 until I finished Midir, then level up to 120 for the PvP since I figured I'd get a better range. Thus far it has been pretty great, mostly 1v1s with only a few 3v1s or 4v1s, and some fun 2v1s.

Last boss should have been Lapp/Patches to be quite honest. This guy was fucking with us on our journey since the beginning

Hypermode is kinda bad in DaS3 and not really worth it. Does his poise increase every NG? In NG++ he would stagger in three curved greatsword hits.
