If you went all out and got 500 hero level, this is a pathetic recompense.
Or since the scaling was changed and the max hero level isn't capped at 20 anymore, it doesn't matter past the point that new players are able to quickly accumulate loot boxes and POTENTIALLY gain more than your veteran player if there was a race going on.
In the end, none of this actually matters because it's cosmetics and Blizzard doesn't care about anyone's whining. Nearly everyone in here got boned but if you take a gay ass communist perspective on it, you should be happy you are getting crates in the first place.
I'm interested to see what other people's take is on this. You can talk about the other aspects in this patch and how it relates to the declining state of this shitty gaming industry but only your wallet and time dedication will change that.
The core gameplay of the game isn't changing. Whether or not that's for the better I can't tell. New heroes and maps will keep the game going for a while and this new bullshit Overwatch loot crate system will have everyone looking forward to the next shiny shiny.

Mounts are the same, at least mechanical.

Horses got a bunch of alternates (these are all the alternates + a brown horse like those but with a saddle).

There's a new beast mount, with spikes. That seems to be the only new mount so far.
