For Jack's Squad the Black Demonica seemed to be a knock off that some cooperation built. In SMT4, extra Black Demonica's were lying around in Tokyo because the Counter Demon Force used Black Demonicas specifically.

Just started playing Soul Hackers, does INT affect negotiations or am I just not supposed to be recruiting most demons? I have a Pixie and a Knocker but they gave me tutorials so I assume they were gimmes. They all just get tired of me talking to them or leave.
Also is there a way to see the full demon sprite or are you only allowed to look at the tiny sprites and portraits? There's a lot of really fun demons in this game from what I gather so it'd be disappointing if I couldn't.

Huh I thought you could only recruit demons with the smiley face next to their name or something, and I've only seen that on like 3 demons so far. I've even gone through every dialogue option on most demons and nothing seems to work. I played SMT1 and recruitment was pretty easy there too. Is it just way more random this time around?
Yeah, SH is full of exceptions and "features".
Some demons need an app, some can't ever be recruited.
Ah I figured, guess I'll just come back when I have better apps. I'm actually kind of glad it's not as easy as later games, being able to just recruit any demon right off the bat feels weird. I won't say it's any more or less challenging because it just comes down to putting time in regardless, but it does feel a bit more immersive. I'm really loving the aesthetics and mood of SH so far. All the 90's CG warms my heart.
