Why did the 2000s have no soul?

Why did the 2000s have no soul?

Compliance with CAFE and new safety standards so most cars were just like "fuck it let's just pass emissions and safety and be done"

Speak for yourself

Worse than DC2

Literally posted a picture of my exact car. It might have no soul, but it's a pretty good and cheap car while I'm saving up for something fun.

I think cars from the early 2000's were really hit or miss. BMW's for an example produced arguably their greatest cars during that time period and some would argue has lost some of it's soul in the later years. Cheaper and more common cars were really boring, but I think some of that comes from them trying to cram in new technology and somewhat forgetting what makes a car special, even the more tame ones.

>no soul

German cars lost their souls later

*blocks your path*

>Perceived quality.
VAG basically started this in Europe
Everything became pseudo-Germanic and boring.
Compare the shut lines on a 90's Mondeo to the one in the OP.
The whole design is intended to give the impression this is a grown up well engineered product (not a shitbox).

Sad but true.
The e46 was the last good one.

E46 was definitely the last great BMW driver's car, but the E60 V10 was something special. The design was hideous though

Ooh, forgot the M2. Never driven one, but it's supposed to be amazing

I just wish some 3rd party could design headlights for the e60 that don't look retarded.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind the E60's looks.

Globalist car design

This. Fucking globalism ruin everything.

Looks the same as OPs

It's not just the headlights, the grill looks so weak and the back is a brick. I love the car for the power and lore, but I just can't get over the design.

An V10 swapped F10 would be so cool to see, but would be retarded expensive

>2000's
>No soul
Try again
Good luck next time

>Euroclown shitbox

Thanks for proving his point

...

To an idiot woman perhaps

Not just you I think the E60 looks good personally.

>Why did the 2000s have no soul?

uwatm8

>Alfa
>Soul

user, that part rattled off 200 miles after it left the lot.

how do you even dislike the e60 design?
masculine, executive style body with a feminine face
tasteful as fuck.
doesn't really look like a 14 year old design

I like early 2000s cars

>shitting on 2000s yuro Ford

I would say that basically 2002-2006 were shit years in design for any car company.

There were some nice models there and there (E46, EP3 Civic) but that's about it.

Please wax your car.

Because he's some fag posting on Veeky Forums, e60's are timeless and anyone who's in the automotive design community would say so too. Just don't look at the interior or how it held up..

Why

There's no wax on it, hence the water sticking to it.

The first pigfat BMW

prove me wrong

Well mk3 was better than the Passat,

It had a soul, it just came in 2009

Hi there.

>lighter than the model on which its based
>first pigfat one

Ah, I see. I usually dry it by hand. I just snapped a pic in the middle of washing it.

Its spelled Seoul

came here to post this, thread over, go home

>lighter than the model on which its based

???

>not knowing what an M3 CSL is

???

>M3

Good one, nigga. Those only constitute a very small part of 3-series bmws. Now compare regular ones.

Because half of it was an extension of the 90s

its ugly
its ugly
looks ok
its ugly
its ugly
its ugly

>2edgy
Fuck off massposting attention whore

>missed the joke

>Hi I was born in 2003 and have shit opinions.

I agree. It took time to figure out style and comply with the rules. Remember the 5mph bumper mandate?

>nobody posts a kia soul

you have no god damn excuse.

>that front wing/spoiler/accessory
holy fark

Don't pay the boy no mind, he's got the 'tism.

it's like an anime car, but from the factory.

>"MUSTACHO-SAN IS HERE TO TAKE YOU ON YOUR DATE"

>inb4 started being made in 1999

When do you finally get your "Passenger of the year" plaque?

I bought Alien Colonial Marines on release and driving a 156 was still the most disapointing experience in my life.

regular ones:
E36 323i sedan curb weight: 1310kg
E46 323i sedan curb weight: 1370kg
lol so pigfat

These guys get it

kek

Started being mass produced in 1999
Design started probably on mid-late 90s

That`s a whole person.

keep in mind the e46 has a much stiffer body, an upgraded suspension, much improved safety. It all makes up for the added few kilograms
also just remove the spare wheel and the rear seat and you've lost 25-30kg already

Terrible hood design

It looks good but not BMW-like. It looks like a buffed up toyota camry/corolla or a chrysler desu

>every car in this thread

Why did the 2000s have no s-
