What would work better if a game in the same general universe as Undertale was made? A prequel about any of the of the other six fallen humans (Charas excluded) or a pseudo-sequel based on one of the non-pacifist endings and it's aftermath?

Could be soulless pacifist though. Serial killer stalking both humans and monsters, point-&-click game featuring a monster-human cop duo, gradually learning how the mob has already combined with the monsters, mingling with Undertale characters and slowly becoming very suspicious of the determined child always being everywhere with no explanation and far too much knowledge.

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream made it work, just gotta be creative with it. Undertale Yellow looks interesting and the demo was alright, although I very heavily disagree with them using Flowey as a character too, but it really just depends on how clever you are.

What? If you're talking about the short story then no because I forget which one but one of them kills the other 4 thus 'freeing' them so. He got stuck in a shitty fate but he still won over AM and helped the others transcend their faith That's different then in Undertale where Toriel will always be useless and let you leave and Asgore will always kill you to protect the other monster's smiles. Unless you start going into AU stuff but imo then you cheapen the main story of Undertale and I've personally never really been a fan of sequels that are prequels that render the first game non-canon.

I mostly would want to just see another game with for the most part same concepts, but just a different story.

Think Final Fantasy main series. Every game in that has their own standalone story that while may have some plot similarities here and there, characters and plot can still be dramatically different.

Honestly as long as a game of this nature keeps the Mother-y vibe, combat system and deconstructions of typical RPG tropes; I think it could be good.
