The way the conversation with Wiseman went it seemed to heavily imply that the choice was to either accept pay for the crops or give them for free at gunpoint. The Brotherhood can play nice but when they want something from you 'no' is not an option, either accept their 'kind' offer or prepare to have whatever it is confiscated.

Except its not really oppressive.

In fact, several BoS members make it clear that, while they do get crops from settlements, Maxson and the BoS don't really give two shits how those settlements operate, or what people do.

Danse even mention Maxson has ordered people to not confiscate technology from civilians if they aren't using it to inflict harm on others.

The excepting being power armor, and mini-nukes, and things of that caliber.

But things like normal laser weaponry, or nuclear generators, and the like, the BoS doesn't care.

Maxson is as hands off and uncaring about what people do under his system

As part of his disapproval conversations, he yells at you for being too ruthless, and causing too much collateral damage, while talking about how the BoS wont kill/hurt civilians to get technology.

Thanks. Danse really is the exemplar of the Brotherhood, their best ideals but also sane and with proper restraint and balance.

Wasn't too thrilled with the Brotherhood as a whole in F4 but Danse was damn good.

Is everyone at the battle of bunker hill supposed to be friendly to me? I mean, I guess I've never overtly pissed any of the factions off but it's kind of weird that the BoS and railroad can see me saunter on in with a courser in tow and just leave me alone. I didn't warn either of them about the attack, either.

Because cybernetics in past Fallout games only existed as a means to hand wave boosting your SPECIAL stats, but since SPECIAL became another form of perks, that is no longer needed.

My usual gear probably.

Tweaked the railroad coat stats to give it higher radiation resistance, not as good as a dedicated radiation suit but still higher than most.

Though I do like using power armor in the sea, gives me a feeling of venturing into some totally alien environment because I don't use power armor super often.

FO4 is unplayable due to rainbow textures glitch on RX480 card and literally no official response from either AMD or Bethesda on it. It really must be an unpopular card/video game combination to have I guess.

as cool and awesome as sim settlements is, I've found myself using the transfer settlements mod more. In both cases, someone else builds your settlement for you, but in the case of the transfer one, that someone also builds defenses and decorations and communal areas like cafes and sports rings and stuff.

Plus transfer lets you load it up and then start editing it for your tastes since it's all scrappable and buildable items

Because the art designers can't get creative by making full-body outfits. Having to make a base "undergarment" + armor pieces is time consuming and in practice means simpler and more generic designs.

This exact issue is mentioned in Fo3's artbook, as at the time they had to convince Todd to not have separate bracers/boots like Oblivion and Morrowwind did.

Just wanting to rule out possibilities. Outside of the actual AMD bug, heavily pixellated cascading rainbow colors applying arbitrarily to things in-game are usually caused by someone not saving a texture correctly, so it only renders properly on ultra settings.

Tbh I just left Dogmeat in Sanctuary. In real life he'd just get shot and die. The SS at least can wear armor and use guns. Does survival mode make companions non-essential? Because I don't see Dogmeat lasting more than 2 seconds if so.

Still essential. He does get his ass kicked quickly and needs constant stimpaks though. Hell, I've had him randomly need a stimpak out of combat while following me over some terrain.

Against the common raider Dogmeat is somewhat believable though, it looks like he's got some combat skills (holding people's arms for example).
