What I don't love is the fact that I have to run through W2Z3 fifteen more times to complete the Storm Wizard weapon collection... that ice spike puzzle is horrendously difficult. I actually found it easier by using the first person camera to hop and navigate around

The quality of this general gets worse each passing day with less posters each time. It has nothing to do with discord or echo chamber safe spaces. Rehashed content and snail paced release of content is not a business savy model.

Why didn't the human gods play any part of this game? Why aren't there worshippers from other races when the gods are obviously real and grant boons?

because the human gods went AWOL because Anet wanted humans to be knocked down a peg or ten.

For awhile they were trying to trump up the Charr as the most awesome thing ever (a fucking Asura even claims The Black Citadel is the greatest city he's seen in Tyria), then they moved onto the Sylvari somewhere around the end of release before development.

And it's still the sylvari, I think.

Why is WvW so shit? I tried it 4 times, could never find a zerg to run with. found enemy zergs running over me a couple of times though. I know about commanders but I haven't yet seen one, why doesn't the game just show me where friendly players are in general?

I googled and someone said orange crossed swords means people from my server are fighting there, but so far I haven't seen orange swords ever.

The human gods were AWOL like a thousand years before GW1 takes place. The gods being absent is something that's been constant throughout all of the events of gw1 and gw2. It's just that Anet killed human cultures, because that would have taken away from their work on their race of salad jesuses.

IMO GW2 shouldn't have been "Guild Wars", it should have just been it's own thing.

WvW is a game type that Anet has abandoned, it's been rotting with easy fixes that have been made known to Anet for years, but Anet just does not give a single fuck.

Well, in GW1, as I recall, the Gods still had enough influence where you could revive at resurrection shrines and pray/commune for blessings from the gods.

Not to mention Dervish Avatar forms. (Admittedly, that might mean nothing given Abaddon cultists were fucking using them)

But, yes, GW2 is rather terrible in just about every respect and the only thing I like about it is the clear technological progression of the setting. And in some ways that's gone fucking overboard.
