Completely agreed, but the critiques about Cortana are exaggerated. She had some good moments, and her going crazy seemed to naturally follow her story in Halo 3

I disagree with the Cortana part since, not only was she dying, she had also just spent 4 years sitting idle in space by herself, of course she wasn't going to be the same. Chief was also done well since they made all his characterization an extension of the player needing to complete the game.
I wouldn't call the game inconsistent or incoherent so much as I would call it badly executed. If you ripped out the Librarians exposition and changed the villain it would work a lot better. There was good material weighed down by too much bad/unnecessary stuff that got in the way.

My point is that I don't see this treatment being given to other maps in other games. Most of us know or think Halo 4 is trash to some degree. You don't have to try to beautify its maps just to make them look better than they are. Take a picture of the actual playable map like you do with all other maps from all other games. Don't let your bias get in the way of consistancy.

Listen. I don't have a preference towards any Halo game to the extent that I'm going subliminally damage control maps you might deem to be bad by posting certain kinds of pictured of them. When I take a picture of any map, I try to get a good view that exemplifies the best the map has to offer. I want people to see the picture and immidiately recognize what map it is. In the case of skyline and a few others, I feel that the most memerable way to convey that image is through an image of a part of the map that isn't actually playable. I feel that it's the map's most striking feature. Hell, the map is even named "Skyline". It's named after this specific feature. There's been a few other times where I haven't even used a picture of the actual map at all and have instead used art design of the map (Reach's "solitary" comes to mind) because I felt those pictures better demonstrated the immidiate presence of the map better than any screenshot I could find/take could. I hope this explanation helps quell your thoughts of any supposed "bias" I might have.
