What are the essential mage spells I should be crafting and honing anyways? I wasn't around for a while, so I'm not privy to any of this stuff regarding mages and what the optimal set up is to using them and whatnot. Last I knew, you just used a Spellblade for elemental weaknesses.

It's pretty simple for mages, Black Mages just have the simple spells like Chain -ga spells or the -ja spells if you can't afford the 5* ones.
Then there's Memento Mori and Dark Zone for Darkness mages and that's pretty much it.
