Check out the wiki for the emulator you're using if you run into trouble, there may be a solution there too, often including recommendations for optimal game settings.
Remember to submit bug reports or shit won't get fixed.
The whole "general" is good as dead, threads are abandoned just like emulators and shitposting keeps piling up, no-one is taking care of them.

How is emulation on the ps3? I want to do easy emulation, and retroarch on pc requires tons of troubleshooting to get perfect, and wii emulation is 480p. I am thinking of installing lakka on my thinkpad x61 and trying that, because I don't really want to get a rpi, and I already have the ThinkPad.

Not great. The system is all that powerful for emulating, and the only emulators available are a handful of libretro cores on an outdated retroarch build. It can also only go done to 720x480, which some CRTs don't like and will crop off some of the picture.

The remake has different puzzles and changed the map layout a bit. It's a better game overall, but you probably won't feel very nostalgic with that version.

Meh, I live in germany and torrenting is pretty risky here. We have Lawyers doing nothing but scanning and sending fines if they catch you (and they often do), So the only option left is this one click hoster bullshit which splits games into 125 parts as 6hour downloads with 12 hour wait time in between. It's a pain.

Ignore the other faggots It works because it's a legit version from patreon, with a serial included. It will stop working when they ban that serial server-side. If you know what you're doing you can capture the authentication response and fake it locally to use it forever (thats what I do)

Not really, Tuts4You is a good site for beginners to RE on Windows. All you need to get started is there. The rest comes with experience and cutting your teeth on lots of things until you find a nice specialization. Mine was keygenning, but I did Cemu the patch way just to get something out quicker.
