Ironic or not, it's still pure degeneracy. The heart doesn't lie, user-kun. This love is real. As one of the firsts posts, i want to shout out. I LOVE user-KUN!

I love their "fight". It's a dude dying of space aids vs a 100 lb pale ass twink. I'd pay to see them in an arena.
Sebastian Rivera
posting best girl!

If people take scenes like that as malicious intent, then it proves how petty the fandom can be.
I'm not sure what their name is, but they have been discussed around these threads before and hated the game so much, that Rantaro and Kaede were her favorite characters while Maki, Kaito, Ouma and Saihara were her least favorites(Including the monocubs and side characters like Korekiyo's sister) I remember their blog has a Mikan avatar but I don't actually remember the name.

Nobody likes someone who's perceptive and very willing to point out shit you don't like about yourself or an important truth that people want to ignore.
He's not terribly hard to figure out when you read between the lines, especially when he basically spells it out for you in his little speech to Kaito right before he dies.

How was the April Fool game going
Jacob Jackson
If you want my opinion, Ouma's character is a spectacular way of showing how much your perception and the reaction of others can skew reality to the point that you end up maligning the wrong person.
For example, let's consider chapter 3's trial where everyone's discussing Angie's death because Monokuma said that if two killers exist only Angie's murderer would count or something. Himiko isn't happy about this, and Ouma says he doesn't care about Tenko's death and the cast immediately tries to counter him.
What's fun about this is that when you see just how much of a lashing he gives Himiko for not caring about Tenko when she was alive, you'll realize that Ouma did in fact care about her death and of course the cast claiming they hate lies fell hook, line and sinker for his lie. Also, because all of them get pissed at him you as the player may end up doing the same because they're the majority but when you think very carefully about what Ouma's intention is you can recognize that he is making a valid point even if it's not nice or pleasant.
> He does make dark/tasteless jokes about their deaths, which is where that comes from, I guess. Describing the taste of Hoshi's corpse is an example. That's more having a particular sense of humor than actual malice, though.
Might be me, but he cried a lot once Hoshi's death was confirmed and he was pissed off, so his reason for describing the taste of Hoshi's corpse may be something else entirely.
powtripfalldieyay is who you're thinking of.

It's so sad she had to resort to selling herself to keep herself and her friends afloat.
Gabriel Wilson
Because that has the potential to produce unwanted erections and Kaito isn't ready for that yet.
Jose Harris
Let's get rolling!
Chase Jenkins
Roll!
Isaac Thomas
Going over the scene post trial too, he's not even all that harsh on Himiko. He's asking why she's lying to herself and keeping it in, and lets everyone cry it out without saying or doing anything. That's not very evil leader of him.
>describing the taste of Hoshi's corpse may be something else entirely
He said he had to lie to himself about enjoying the killing game, so maybe cracking jokes like that is part of the (shitty) coping mechanism.
Kayden Parker
Fuck off Naegi
Lucas Davis
Exactly my point, it's a little hard for most people to see at first but the entire point Ouma is trying to make is that people claim to hate lies and like the truth but because people fall for his lies more than they acknowledge the truth when he attempts to nudge people that way, he knows they hate the truth more than they hate lies.
This is also the entire point why Dangan Ronpa in-universe needs to end, these fuckers are so addicted to 'Hope' they don't even get that whatever hope you're getting from having teens kill each other is hopelessly corrupted. In other words it's a lie.
Camden Anderson
Good morning /drg/.
Nothing like waking up to new fan art of crossdressing Kaito.

>Might be me, but he cried a lot once Hoshi's death was confirmed and he was pissed off Yeah, he was crying and felt betrayed, stating that someone was sick enough to continue the killing despite how the group said they wouldn't. Korekiyo then says that his tears are fake and Ouma immediately smiles says he saw right through him.
Justin Martinez

>I’m done with the game and my list surprised me: 1. Akamatsu 2. Amami 3. Ki-bo 4. Iruma 5. Chabashira 6. Shinguuji 7. Hoshi 8. Toujou 9. Gonta 10. Monodam (omfg he’s so great) 12. Angie 13. Yumeno 14. Monokid 15. Monosuke 16. Shirogane 17. Monofanny 18. Monotarou 19. Ouma 20. Saihara 21. Momota 22. Harukawa >I’m so unlucky… The characters I’ve come to like the least gets more screentime in the game…
>putting the 4 most main characters of the game at the very bottom, below the monokumarz
wow
Hunter James
It's probably a mix of truth and lie. The sentiment was real (he is proven to hate the killing game itself), but the tears themselves were probably him being overdramatic again.
He seemed to like Hoshi, though, if that little bonus casino scene is anything to go by..
Ayden Fisher
>love I'm sorry tripfag but you're not worthy of any affection. You're just an object for anons to use as they please. A tool like you could never be worthy of any user's love.
Camden Thompson
Wait, this is the girl who complains about Ouma being malicious, right? Why is Korekiyo the sadist 6th on her list then? It's made clear that human beauty is another way of saying suffering
I'm fine with both, by the way.
Benjamin Richardson
Ouma could be "usoing" sometimes to give people what they expect. If Tulpaboy expected that to be a lie, then Ouma said that it was a lie. I see, user-kun... I will fulfill my duty. Can i at least keep the empty dream of attaining pure love one day?
Andrew Ward
>t's made clear that human beauty is another way of saying suffering Yeah, why did they shit on Ouma but let Korekiyo get away with shit like this? Ingame I mean.
Henry Martin
This list is so bad, I can tell how whiny the guy is from just looking at it. Like, aside from the obvious reason, what's their excuse for hating Kaito so much?
Ayden Williams
A surprise erection is just sex you never knew you wanted until just now!
Daniel Davis
Our girl Tenko didn't, but look what happened to her
Elijah Collins
That's exactly my point, when you evaluate the scene solely by what Ouma's saying and how Himiko crying herself to sleep helped her you can see how that's a good thing for her.
Now, what happens when you take in the reactions of the cast saying he's being too harsh and generally being mad at him?
I think he was lying about the tears being fake, because his life would be made a living hell by the MM if she knew how to target him personally and realized he's much more of a softie than he presents himself.
Nathaniel Reyes
So NEET is the mastermind? Fuck my life my favorites always die. Sonia's an exception
Kayden Rivera
In their post about Ouma, they said he was unoriginal and a clone of Komaeda, and then they stated things that made them sound opposite of each other. One of those reasons was that "Komaeda felt bad for the deaths while Ouma was incredibly malicious when reacting to them" So translation: He got screentime and that makes him bad. Maybe if I claim he's a rip off, people will agree with me.
And they did.
Elijah Mitchell
I think the logic is that Ouma's brand of (apparent) awful is a lot less fantastical/unrealistic than Korekiyo's. It's harder to feel offended with Korekiyo because he's so outrageous- he's a serial killer! with a tulpa of his sister! that he got through bdsm! who he's in love with! that he sends friends to through murder!
With Ouma, if you take him at face value, he's apparently doing all of this out of pure boredom and spite. That's easier to hate because it's less outrageous.
Jace Long
Tenko should have literally just said "PLEASE DON'T FUCKING DO THIS".
Angel Davis
No. But if you do something impressive, like say win a hunger games, then my opinion may be swayed.
Dylan Smith
>Komaeda felt bad for the deaths >Literally caused the first two as a stepping stone for hope >Kept hopefagging each time someone else died >Tried to kill everyone except Nanami because they were despairs
Nathan Peterson
I couldn't agree more, Ouma-kun! You always understand me. Thank you for this chance, user-kun. I'll hold on to that dream, and promise to do my best! No matter how long it takes...
Jason Green
He's the batshit male mastermind I always wanted. I love him.
And I'm killing myself because he'll never be real.
Colton Gonzalez
I like Komaeda too, but words kind of fail me in describing just how wrong this person is about him.
Just what did Ouma do to deserve being compared to Junko in-game and Komaeda outside of it, anyway?
Lucas Thompson
where can I read this
Evan Myers
No idea. They didn't say.
It's funnier because their reason for liking Amami so much is "I don't know why, but I just do". I like Amami a lot but let's be real, if you're putting him at the top of your list it's not because of his character in the game itself it's because of your headcanons for V2 or that he's the hottest boy. As he is in V3, he's not much of a character.
Jaxon Powell
>powtripfalldieyay Oh god, don't remind me of her. She went full depression and posting about how she's gonna cut her wrists because some guy from Reddit pissed on her Saihara is Bad theory. She deleted her accout from there immediately afterwards (although the shitbag is to blame as well). Then it turned out her Saihara is Bad theories crashed down and faves Amami and Kaede died in chapter 1. Also she disliked Kaede after playing the demo, but apparently the full game changed her mind.
>3. Ki-bo Probably her only redeeming quality in my eyes. And even then, she translated only 3 out of 7 of his FTEs and her blog is abandoned for 3 weeks now. It's been too long, dammit, I need those FTEs, I'm curious
Joshua Barnes
For Junko, he kind of admitted to being a Junko-like figure as part of the mastermind plan. The comparisons are kind of apt there, and when you get down to it, he does use despair to manipulate people into doing what he wants (Gonta into murdering Miu, using the despair of the outside world to stop the killing game, etc).
He's kind of like a reverse Komaeda in terms of role and ideals, but nothing like him in terms of personality.
Levi Brown
>one guy criticized my theory >better kill myself
people shat on my theories all the time pre-release. I mean, none of them were right but you don't see me taking a knife to my wrists.
Nolan Sanders
This user couldn't be more right. Why are people so thin-skinned?
James Smith
Rolling since my first try was horrendous
Lincoln Perez
Owari is cute.
Rolling for Kiri or Hina.
Andrew Roberts
Well, someone asked who that person was! I don't want to think about her either for those reasons.
That being said it's also one of the few things the cast responds to, what he did was nasty but considering how people reacted when he brought up the mastermind in chapter 2 I can see why he had to go for more extreme measures.
Also, roll!
Gabriel Wright
Akane is pure. Anything erotic comes only from her ignorance / stupidity. I know i might get shit on for this opinion, but it's what i feel.
Carter Watson
That's just plain dumb. I like Rantaro a lot, but loving him that much because "I just do" sounds like she only likes him for his voice/looks rather than his character. I had no idea she did this, holy shit. She's worse than Jess. This. Ouma does have traits shared with Junko, completely intentional too, so I can see why people would compare them. Calling him a rip off of her(and Komaeda)is really stupid though.
Yeah, Ouma and Komaeda don't have anything in common outside of their story roles and even then, the purposes and motives behind roles are so different it's hard to compare them. I think Ouma is closer to a Kirigiri expy with some Chiaki parallels, with a Junko/Monaca side to him if anything. I'd never link him much to Komaeda unless if it came to his fanbase.
Gabriel Phillips
>Celes twice in a row ...Reroll.
It's alright, I can agree with you. Owari is very attractive, but she's definitely not smart. However, I don't usually take intelligence into consideration when it comes to what characters I like. It's mostly her character as a whole that attracts me. I do wish that she wasn't too dumb.
Easton Sanders
Do we have any more information on Mitsunari? I love him.
>inb4 the Freudian Okaa-san tulpa puppet motive is real I don't mind - it was hilarious desu
Carson Flores
Kokochan!
Levi Lee
This, he's the only character in NDRV3 who actively does investigations without telling anyone so he's a very intentional callback to Kirigiri with some aspect of Chiaki and Junko.
I'm fine with her being dumb. Less intelligent people are less complicated, and when they love you it has a higher chance of being primal and pure - as long as they're not of the vile kind, and Akane is definitely not vile. Too bad that it's in nip.
Justin Sanchez
why does our protagonist dress as a girl
Brandon Cox
I got Fukawa too on my first try. Rolled again and got no waifu. Still, no waifu is better than Fukawa
Jayden Jackson
It's a shame much of what actually makes Akane a solid character is in her FTEs.
> Too bad that it's in nip. Yep.
From what I read his sister pressured him and he's a yes man type of character, but this changes after chapter 1.
Hunter Wood
well i waiting for him to snap and say no
Isaac Gutierrez
Name: Mitsunari Koga Gender: Male Seiyuu: Nao Shigure Height: 184cm Weight: 62kg Bust size: 80cm Blood type: 0 Birthday: May 27 Likes: Beef Hates: Horsemeat First person pronoun: Boku Calls others: Full name
Profile: Apparently is invited to events everywhere and even has a educational TV show named after him. Can make a big ammount of voices and characters, to the point people suspect some of them to be pre-recorded. He normally uses a strong-willed and frantic horse puppet and gentler deer puppet to talk (with himself). People judge him as a wierd guy, hard to approach and unable to keep a proper conversation.
Reason to join the Talent Removal Project: He has a complex about puppets with a stronger personality than himself.
Landon Harris
Yeah, both Ouma and Kirigiri don't like to show their true feelings because they don't trust people and investigate in private without anybody finding out. I also noticed Ouma's design is quite similar to Chiaki's and the two have flaws exact opposite to each other(Ouma doesn't trust people and Chiaki trusts people too much.) Both have similar hairstyles and are portrayed as the cute character(Hiyoko was too but not to an extent where she has a waifu bait puffy face and a kitty bag)but they have contrasting colour schemes and while Chiaki looks neat and well dressed with a few wrinkles in her clothes, Ouma looks sickly with torn clothes and messy hair, and only his scarf looks nicely done. Even better is that Chapter 5 has Ouma get crushed as a victim with consent while Chiaki got crushed as a killer against her will. They also both make a lot of weaboo references and foreshadow things in their ftes. I thought this was intentional too. Funny because they're my favorite characters, and they're parallels.
Aiden Cooper
I thought that it was a Pokemon kind of a deal where you can choose their sex. I have both a female and male fullbody for them.
Nathan Ramirez
He appears as a girl up to chapter 1. After he is exposed as a man halfway through, he appears as a boy for the rest of the story.
Bentley Walker
it is sad, but lucky for her i know a lot of nice people who would pay her lots of money for her service!
Ryan Rodriguez
Yeah, the parallels there are definitely more direct while it's true to an extent that his dislike of boredom is a bit Junko-like.
I still suspect something weird is going on in chapter 4 and chapter 5. In fact isn't it weird that Maki's also an orphan and yet Ouma's the only one who just stands out from the cast in every way?
Liam Ross
Nooooo. BONER WHY. WHY IS THIS GAME NEVER GOING TO COME OUT.
Camden Myers
Daily reminder that Chiaki is still and will always be best girl She got cloned back to life by Hajizuru and won the Hajizurubowl. She's now playing games with the DR2 cast on the boat forever (or at least till V3 happens in this universe)
Julian Bennett
Thanks user!
>He has a complex about puppets with a stronger personality than himself. What do I do lads? I'm in love with him.
Jaxon Taylor
>his sister pressured him i dont like where these is going
Aaron Harris
Is there a place with all of this info in English Also, i'm curious who dies how and to who
DEAD FOREVER HAJIZURU DOESNT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU
Mason Scott
I found a few profiles translated in Tumblr, and some story spoilers.
Around Chapters 4~5, MC, NEET (Mastermind), ??? (Revealed as Agent (Spy)), and Mystery Novel Writer (Revealed as Hitman) are still alive, and Agent/Hitman's roles as rival/friend reverse, I don't know who else is alive by then, and who died before that, but I guess the chapter 5 deaths will be Agent and Hitman.
Jackson Lee
Thanks anons. But seriously, if they spent so much time on art and writing then why did they give up? Did they lack the skill to make the actual game with gameplay like minigames, or...?
Ryder Bailey
Well, that would be lame for chapter 5 given if Yodogawa's identity is spoiled before the murder you'd know who the killer is.
I have no clue what's going on here honestly
Carson Howard
it might as well be an r&d game by spike to gauge interest in new concepts
Grayson Powell
It's an April Fool's joke that blew up, I assume. It was probably never intended to be a game, but I don't know if they were anticipating people to like it this much.
Can't read Japanese though
Michael Johnson
Who would EVER put this much effort into an April Fool's joke though? Spike themselves? Hard to believe they'd waste effort on this. Especially considering that everyone knew right away it was a joke except for me
Elijah Fisher
Some of the characters do seem too one-note even for DR, but I do find it hilarious that a spy and a hitman got trapped in the same game and said hitman is masquerading as a mystery novelist.
Certainly it's a fun idea if done correctly and I find it curious we don't know who the 16th student is yet.
Juan Butler
The spy and hitman thing was probably a plot point that the mastermind orchestrated.
I think this would be a good game if they do away with the usual DR tropes, but that's less likely than earth hitting an asteroid
Christopher Turner
I'm still hoping DR got executed at the end of NDRV3 so we can get away from conventional killing games. A person can dream.
Isaiah Brooks
I want a non-conventional killing game where it's just the male protag, 15 girls and death by snu-snu.
Sebastian Ramirez
Let's say you get to write what the hell happened to the point NDRV3's killing game is a thing, how would you go about it? For example, were all killing games actually real or would you write that the change happened and so on.
Joshua Ross
i would write that everything that tsumigi says is true i tthink its the safest thing
Kayden Martin
>Got revived >Only girl Hajizuru cares about FTFY Killing games became a real thing after the 50th one They were at first a celebration of an event that happened in the distant past. A new party that gained power after some kind of governmental collapse then re-purposed them to dispose of threats to it's rule. It's also used as some sort of propaganda to broadcast on TV. They pretend that everything is fictional to hide the truth of the games to the masses.
Aiden Torres
The Remembering Lights are honestly very terrifying when one thinks about it, because if you don't even know you're being lied to and the technology can be replicated in different ways, who's to say most of the world isn't already brainwashed?
Nicholas Jackson
Where's your proof that everything around is already not a lie, user? What if all of the history is just a fabrication, and everybody around you is some kind of a construct? You have to wake up
Lincoln Lopez
Hey, don't go all 1984 on me! Though you know, it does occur to me that the whole Remembering Light thing is scary precisely because people without strong conviction of their memories can be led to believe anything.
Jaxon Nelson
I want to fuck Korekiyo so bad i'm thrusting my hips into the air, help
My only option is to make a tulpa
Benjamin Morris
Yo /drg/. How goes things yadda yadda, blah blah, etc etc.
Noah Watson
Yo, Kuzunon. Nothing much, just talking again about the possibility most people in NDRV3's world are already brainwashed using Remembering Lights on a mass scale when a new party came into power and TDR changed previously ceremonial games into a way to get rid of political opponents.
Joshua Hall
Hi Kuzu.
Things have been slow here recently and I'm on break so I've been replaying Ace Attorney to tide me over until the art book is released.
