Nah, it'll be flying vertically up to stop SOLG 2 from docking with the top of the Lighthouse, using it as a giant barrel to fire V3. There'd be giant windows around the elevator so you can see your ascent from the atmosphere into space.

The finale would have you firing at the docking port of the Lighthouse, causing your plane to be sucked out into the vacuum of space right in front of the docking SOLG, firing at the loaded warhead.

The ending cutscene would show the debris of the Lighthouse and the SOLG burning up in the atmosphere, and the final shot would be an exact mirror of the intro to Ace Combat 4.

Uhhhhh

So you have a gas pedal and a break pedal, your L2 and R2 (i think) triggers. The slower you go, the tighter you turn. Use those to make it easier to chase enemies.

In addition, try to fire your missiles when an enemy is about to come out of a turn, so that they have to do less turning to hit.

I try doing that, they just move way too fast for me a lot of the time

Try getting closer speedwise to them, then. It's a balance; you can't ALWAYS just brake. Additionally, it can be worth watching your radar for enemies that are moving on a vector easy for you to catch.

Well considering;
You never really have money issues in an Ace Combat game.
Taking A2G weapons in a pure A2A mission
The game makes it clear when you should and shouldn't fuck with the Yellow squad

Sorry but it is a little stupid.

The yellows are interesting in 04. To make them all retreat, you need to land a single missile on any one of them. Their aircraft are more maneuverable and faster than the other enemies in the area, and in addition their AI can do some other moves that none of the other AI can.

There is an SR-71 recon plane which you start the level locked onto. It flies way up towards the altitude cap of the level. Besides that, there is an E-767 electronic warfare plane flying way over top of the fight and a KC-10 tanker on the outskirts of the battle, too. Everything else is just a few air superiority fighters/multiroles swarming in the center.
