Dancer is first victim (doesn't seem to have much of a personality and no suspicious traits or anything), Karate Master killed her for a simple reason like getting out.

After Spirit Medium begins disrespecting traditions and spirits, Shrine Maiden kills her out of honor. However, Animal Tamer sees this and kills her because she can't let her go undisciplined.

DJ inspires Puppet Boy to kill himself with music, making him believing his puppets are telling him to through musical MINDHACC. However, they all count the music itself as a murder weapon, so DJ is executed.

Hitman and Spy recognize each other's talent and role, and end up killing each other in a double suicide for the final trial. The challenge is trying to figure out if they killed each other, killed themselves, or if it was a murder-suicide.

NEET is the mastermind and a remnant of despair. The final trial has him hijacking the purpose of the project and removing the survivor's talents in order to prevent them from stopping him reviving The Tragedy. They have to perform the final trial as "useless normies", but they end up defeating him anyway since talent is not everything or whatever. He kills himself a la Junko.

Survivors: MC, undertaker, weather girl, gourmet, poet

Why would Spy kill herself though? She is described as being very loyal to her organization and really doesn't feel like the type to commit suicide.

No, Shrine Maiden is the one in miko clothes and Spirit Medium is black-haired red-eyed girl in school uniform.

That's the animal tamer. She dies in the case of the shrine maiden and spirit medium.

Shrine maiden is second row, 2nd from left and Spirit medium is last on first row here She didn't kill herself. Hitman killed her and she killed him in a shootout. Hitman however prepared for the situation (using his mystery novel talent) in order to make the murder seem ambiguous if it was a double suicide, murder -suicide or just murder.

That was the plan, but things went awry when hitman goes full madman and plans to screw over the game with his own death for COMPLEX reasons so he forces her hand in killing him by attacking her first.

Or, alternatively, she realizes that she will not be able to capture him alive in this situation for whatever reason and plans to kill him, but he figures this out and sets up the double/mutual murder to muddy the trial.

Nah, it would probably be the Hitman guy because he will have hetero/gay teasing with the MC. If you're playing as a male he'll be gay, if you're playing as a chick he'll be straight.

Otherwise, I can see the NEET or Shrine Maiden being gay for some reason. god i hope it's the shrine maiden

If that was the case, she wouldn't be able to switch roles with Hitman during the trial as the rival and ally of the MC, respectively.

Characters like that are my guilty pleasure. That one character that is probably the main villain that has a major gay boner for the MC that he struggles to hide, and he has a possessive streak too.

Problem is it's mostly /y/ pairings that have that type of character. There are like zero /u/ versions of that which is unacceptable. I mean, i'm all for /y/, i'm a depraved bisexual as well, but I prefer /u/ and sometimes I dislike the idea that "/u/ is for pure ships". Anyone feel me?

Well, I guess you're right. Just with the as much information as we have, I just read her as being incredibly loyal and not as someone who would do that, but it's still a possibility.

I think it would be more likely for Yodogawa to kill himself and set up a murder framing the spy to make sure everybody, including his actual target gets killed, but that's too similiar to Komaeda's plan i suppose.

But in the scenario user suggested, she would let herself get killed is what I believe.

Really, with the existence of memory-altering technology that's widespread enough to reach a reality TV show, it's hard to say if anything about the outside world is actually true, even the existence of the 50+ season reality show. What's to say a remembering flashlight broadcast nationally didn't make everyone think this has been going on forever and that they all loved it?

Literally the closest I can think of is Mami/Homura from PMMM, but everyone loves Madoka/Homura better, which is understandable since they're pretty much canon. Junko/DR1 cast or Chiaki is alright as well, but again, nobody ships it and Junko doesn't have a personal vendetta against anybody in particular.

I'd kill for one (ONE) popular female ship that fits the bill I said here But it's a far-off dream, sadly.
