I haven't played Planetside 2 since 2014 if at that.

What the hell happened to the game? 1-12 or at best 12-24 at the quietest hours of the night, that's nothing. ESFs and tanks seem to have been nerfed hard, the infantryman rules.

And the saddest part is I have a whole bunch of station cash, sorry, DB cash, to blow on this dying horse. What's the most disgusting, overpowered, NS gun cash can buy? Is there even any point?

I'm a returning player, away from the game maybe two years, I see that a lot has changed but I am wondering specifically about my favoured gameplay; The AP Lightning.

The lightning itself feels a lot faster and more maneuverable than it used to be, there are also more customisation options for it but has the AP shell been nerfed?

I may just be mis-remembering but it seems slower and heavier.

Right away I see that I am still pounding the hell out of most other lightnings and still able to bully most anything else but long range shots seem far more difficult now.

It's just a fact, I personally play with graphics turned up but the thought "You'd have a clearer shot if you just turned them down" is always there.

The fact that low settings just fucking turn smoke OFF is completely insane.

Low settings do not turn the smoke off, it's an ini particle mod

anyway, slaying Tranu on high settings is some 10/10 shit

Doesn't turn them off entirely no but culls smoke effect faster and stops drawing them entirely way before it starts to fade on other settings. No INI modification required.

you used to be able to turn off smoke by changing one line in your config
now they """fixed""" it, so you have to change four lines
but just low settings doesn't remove smoke, and it never did.
