That way you'll get the winning bonus for every round except the last, and you'll be more likely to get higher feather rewards for participation every round than you would if you were stuck with the #1 the entire time like the Lucina backers were last time.

At the end of the day yes, every 10 battles is an extra battle, when you take the 4-5 days you probably do 50-60 battles maybe more depeninding on how much you play

The 1 cd difference doesn't matter that much, and the -30% def barely show up outside armored.
