He's good for his discord orbs. It increases his own damage to the target, and also the entire teams as well. If you put an orb on the healer/tank, they can't recover from the spawn staggering.

Not really desu. He's easy to kill since he's literally a floating square hitbox and zero escapes. His heal is non-existent aside from transcendence but the latter is easily countered by pissjar. The only thing he has going for him is discord which only works well if your team actually shoots discorded targets.

No but really, jokes aside he's a glass cannon. Just use your teammates to body block for you. Always have discord + harmony on someone and nearly always be firing (M1/Primary. I find M2/Secondary useless unless I'm taking Bastions).

Aim for heads (obviously) because you can fuck people up. I regularly solo Roadhogs because you can line up headshots while they heal and with discord on you can shred them through the healing. You'll have to get used to projectile fire if you haven't played characters/games that use them before but once you get comfy and understand their physics you'll be twitch shotting Tracers in no time.

Some final tips
>Teammates in combat are more important than someone with low health in the back line with you

For an example, say a Zarya got fucked up pretty hard and is retreating but your Reaper or Winston is still in the thick of it. Reaper/Winston are high health while Zarya is low. Keep harmony on Winston or Reaper unless Zarya is being hunted down. You don't burst heal but your harmony is a tide turner when on someone in battle. Your two orbs can be the difference between whether a teammate wins or loses a duel.

I'll flex off onto Ana usually if nobody else wants to heal. I CAN solo heal but it's not wise. Zen is a Buff/Debuff hero not a traditional Healer. I honestly love Zen/Lucio teams but he would obviously work very well with Ana or Mercy because he can keep people topped off while Mercy/Ana worry about large heals.

You get it pretty fast so don't be afraid to use it to save yourself or to get people in/out of the fight. Just be wary of enemy ults, especially Zarya, as a Zen ult is the perfect ult stuff to most of the game changers.

Also one last thing to add to what this guy said Don't play Zen if you don't use a mic. I'm the shot caller on my teams usually, whether they want it or not, because I'm constantly calling out discords.

The team can see your discord if they see the physical purple ball but they don't get the marker that you do. So it's your job to always tell them who it's on so they know who to be looking at in the middle of the fight.

Which also means your target prioritization has to be spot on.

Did blizzard say? I doubt that teaser will be for patch 1.10, rather a reveal for something new (probably an overwatch anniversary event). Patch 1.10 is pretty small and doesnt really need an event like that connected to it.

Don't do that you aren't getting much training because the bots move in very predictable fashion.

Here is one thing you can do to IMMEDIATELY improve aim.

Get a mouse mat that spans your entire desk.

It's really that easy. Having the free space to move your mouse without running out of mouse pad/hitting your keyboard goes a very long way with improving aim.

I've tried everything before getting myself one 2bh, tried OSU, tried ana bots, tried sensitivity alterations. NOTHING impacted my aim as well as getting a mouse mat did. If you already have a mouse mat and your aim is still bad you should just quit and focus on console overwatch instead.

Honestly that's just a meme of Overwatch in general. Putting aside that I regularly get Gold elims because of assists, as long as you're doing damage you're charging ult. Overwatch revolves around ults. So even trash damage is doing something for you (But again you should be wracking up kills and assists with Zenyatta without a problem, sit behind tanks and fire through them and you're guaranteed hits). The idea of "trash damage" being a bad thing comes from Pharahs and Junkrats who spam rockets but can't finish anything. And in that case you're literally a DPS that isn't killing and should switch.

Tracer's effective range is 10m. Her blinks are 7m each and they refill after 3s. Keep an eye on all your cooldowns. Never engage unless you have at least 1 blink. Flank when possible. Bully those supports. Also get really good at tracking.

I got the game in November, placed into silver season 2, rose into gold last season, and this season have managed to climb into Platinum. I want to continue rising but I see a lot of people here plateauing at Platinum, and this is my first DPS so I'm nervous.

Who do you play? Should I attempt to git gud with someone other than my usual picks of Pharah, Hog, and Zen? Any overall tips for getting out of Plat?

I don't care how long it takes, I just want to consistently get better.
