Has Sim Settlments been working for everyone?

Does anyone know if there's a mod that adds a hunger element to the game like in minecraft? I think it would be more immersive to have health drop quicker if you haven't eaten in awhile... I also think night mobs or a dying light type mod would be fun

>hunger element to the game
You mean Survival mode?

no... im not trying to play survival for a few reasons.. one being 1 can't use console commands I believe, and im running so many mods my game crashes in parts of the city

in minecraft (if you didn't know) has a hunger bar like a health bar, as time passes it gets lower and if it runs out your health can't regenerate.. it also has a food saturation element meaning the better food you eat the slower your hunger bar drains

holy fuck user that ss is way too fucking skinny

thats like a bmi of .5

>Implying that user isn't playing a skeleton that is wearing the skin of a dead wastelander

Yeah, SS has a few problems but it works fine.
Download survival options mod for G-d's sake.

it's the alice preset on cbbe, only I gave her better tits

most anons on here are playing skeleton waifus wearing dead wastelander skin with literal bags of sand stuffed into the tits desu

biology is for nerds senpai

it just looks skinnier because of the suit, her arm is bigger than that leather strap on the side...

im not running a strength build anyway

never heard of it , ill give er a try

im looking at Primary Needs right now which looks interesting, hear of it?
fallout4/mods/7274

>wants game to be more immersive
>is running around in the cold rain with tits out

Waifufags have mental sicknesses.

To the user from last thread who asked why he was using exclusively slavshit, it's because I haven't found a really good american assault rifle that fits the aesthetic.

I really like playing with the RU-556 but it's too modern and tacticool for 'art' shots of the outfit and such. I'm really really looking forward to the Service Rifle mod because a wooden furniture M16A1 will go perfectly with my setup.

im running about 250 mods and i'm going for my special snowflake mixture of immersion and slootyness

Mental sickness.

There are two kinds of /fog/ posters.

Those with mental sicknesses, and those without.

See, I keep my Fallout lore friendly and immersive because I love Fallout with all my heart and soul.

Skyrim I turned into an erotic fantasy game with bestiality, post combat rape and skimpy revealing outfits on practically every character because it struck me as kinda a boring generic fantasy setting that was only improved by turning it into "Oglaf the RPG"

Three kinds

You're forgetting the modders!

I'm familiar with the system, yes.

I don't think there's anything like that for Fo4 though. And I don't think it'd work very well anyway since food and combat in these games are very different.

Stimpaks are abundant in Fo4 and are used in almost every fight. In Minecraft you'll only craft a Health or Regen potion if you're going to fight a boss (maybe).

Unless you make Stimpaks ineffective if you're hungry/thirsty, it's not worth it.

Shit, now I want to see that mod.

You're forgetting the type that keeps trying to justify bad writing and shitty lore until the point where they try to answer unanswerable philosophical questions

>try to answer unanswerable philosophical questions

easter eggs

look up Primary Needs fallout4/mods/7274 on nextus and see if that's something you'd use

also decided to use survival options... any suggestions on what to turn off besides fast travel?

>jewk nukem

I think that's why I like PinkyAnon atleast, his skinny ass SS atleast has small tits and she is played like a proper scared meek waif.

Save yourself the trouble and give yourself the save items.

I took a quick look and it seems like it's pretty similar to Survival mode hunger/thirst.

I think it would be interesting if being well fed allowed for some regen, and being hungry/thirsty made stimpaks less effective, moderately hungry/thirsty using stimpaks would actually hurt you and very hungry/thirsty you'd start losing hp until you died.

Looks like after 2 years they finally got beta of sex animation mods over there at that non-nexus website called four play (can we mention that other site here?)

Thats a Loverslab mod

Also nudes and sex mods are against the rules, my man

user wtf.

I'm intentionally roleplaying someone with body image issues and even I'm not that skeltal.

but to answer your question, SIM is working fine for me, but I usually use Transfer Settlements anyway, since in both mods someone else builds your settlement for you, but in the case of Transfer it's all scrappable and someone usually used decorations and there are communal areas like basketball courts and stuff that aren't in SIM.

I still take the time to decorate and change things though, since I think a huge part of this game is muh settlement customization. Transfer is like a starting point.

>that story about his waifu
>don't know if it's true
I guess that's the point of his character. If you tell stories like that, how do people believe you even if you're being serious.

I rate the Garand/M1A1 Carbine/M14/M870 in that niche.
They fit well, although right now I'm with you 100% with the slavshit. SKS/VSS/AK Platform. It's a shame that all the appropriate sidearms are US/Western based, the M1911, Browning Hi-Power, various revolvers. I'd love a Makarov or Tokarev, Chinese Mauser etc.

I can't wait for the day there's enough quality weapon mods to replace all of the garbage vanilla weapons.

Armor would be nice too, but it's not as urgent.

do you want me to show a better picture? ill show you the exact shape of her body in bodyslide if you want

>sex mods are against the rules

Quick, you had better let the guys at /AA2G/ and /hgg/ know before they get banned.

Don't be daft buff, we can talk about sex mods. Just not post lewds of them in action.

I fell into the trap of making a good, petite body in bodyslide and then I made it too small on the triangle morph.

transfer settlements looks interesting maybe i just dont know what's cool about it other than you can import other settlements , does it just take away all the work and gives you a giant settlement?

Currently working on a way to scrap more objects without having to set bUseCombinedObjects to 0.

I fucking hate working on this piece of shit. When are they going to upgrade to a new engine?

i don't think i messed with the triangle but ill go to the nearest surgery chair and see what i can do

Just give me a spline follower with mesh deformation along the spline and I will be happy.

yes i really do

I know you would, NERD.

I just wish they kept things from New Vegas under the hood, so we could salvage a fun game out of this garbage. Right now I just plan on trying to turn settlements into something remotely enjoyable.

Many New Vegas systems can be re-implemented easy enough, I want shit that can truly make some entertaining stuff.

If I want to watch toon porn, I'll spend 30 seconds digging up some degenerate sfm. Let me know when there is content worth downloading.

I don't watch porn for the story, but the only thing going for gamebryo porn is the story, so the story had better be entertaining. Contrived set-ups for boning are overdone and Fourplay isn't even at the pizza-delivery guy/pool boy stage. Let me know when there are proper quest mods, like selling your experiences to the Memory Den to collate the best interactive porno ever, or using your Institute Director status to set up the best little whorehouse in the Commonweath.

>I want shit that can truly make some entertaining stuff.

Read the FAQ you newfag, don't you know Fallout is a certified "No Fun Allowed" zone?

>calling based Trainwiz a newfag
you some kinda stupid mate

Rules are for lesser beings and communists, why would I follow them?
I want crazy shit. Airship battles and train robberies, grappling complicated animated pulleys and shunting minecarts into people.

:^).ru

>WW2 style armoured train being chased down, attacked and boarded by an armed zeppellin

Can weapon degradation be reimplemented "easily"?

I just want a fun game that can actually handle a large open world with lots of NPCs and items in it without shitting itself and all kinds of nigger-rigging and compromise.

See, now you're getting it. More moving objects and freedom of movement in games just makes them so much better.

To some extent. But when I was talking about systems I was talking about worthwhile, not stupid shit.

Hey, SSE can handle two-hundred or so people, probably more, on screen with no real downside. Shit is certainly possible.

>SSE

What?

You do you user, there is no wrong way to play a single-player game. Joking aside, people who complain about how other people enjoy their single-player games are silly.

It's pretty great desu. You download their settlement data from the nexus and upload it into your game using the mod. It's the most f4se intensive mod I've seen so far but after you spend a sec setting it up it's pretty easy and fast. I have a pretty cool Sanctuary now that someone else did like 80% of the work for lol.

Today I went almost an in-game day with the sight-blurring head injury because I happened to be really far from the nearest doctor and I'm not a doctor myself and neither is Dogmeat or Cait. It legitimately sucked and I almost died because I literally didn't see a group of robo-raiders because my vision was blurred.

It was hella immersive

skyrim special edition
NERD

>Hey, SSE can handle two-hundred or so people, probably more, on screen with no real downside. Shit is certainly possible.

How different is the SSE build of memebryo than FO4's? I was under the impression they were very similar. What's stopping 200 NPC's on screen in FO4?

Skyrim Special Edition

Hey, it's an interesting gameplay mechanic!

But what you're saying is they removed engine features that allowed for more interesting mods?

>Hey, it's an interesting gameplay mechanic!

No it's not.

what would it take to gain Jezebels respect if the game wasn't limited to shooing her away into a settlement?

counters and hidden perks that reduce damage. setting it up for every actor, ignoring unarmed attacks and inaccessible weapons such as robot parts and companion weapons would be a pain.

no. not easy. it probably wouldn't play nice with mods, either.

You're right! What was I thinking.

BRB gotta go take some screenshots with This Machine.

if i needed to change follower meshes where would i find their actor folder?

Weapon degradation should not return, and good riddance to it.

Anyway, the things that were in New Vegas can actually come over with a bit of ingenuity, and even look pretty good since Fallout 4's modding scene has a pretty robust and documented UI modding system going on.

Whoops my bad

transplanting the brain into a synth.

I thought nobody cared about that and everyone still played the old version?

Literally everything is improved with big beautiful titties

That’s just like, your opinion, man

Too bad, that's one feature I enjoy.
Works ok with PA, I don't know why people are so against it desu.
Possibly poor implementation in earlier games.

I'll take a look at it then. It's not like we're getting a new Fallout in the next few years anyway.

It was more an annoyance than anything. I don't think it should have been removed completely though, I just think it should have taken a lot longer for weapons to break.

i think i somehow made all the games data disappear, searching both hardrives brings no fallout 4 related actor folders.

I'm level 30 and I haven't killed kellogg yet, should I?

the mods that add that shit back to skyrim are fucking horrible.
weapon degradation does not need to be the same but having it in some form might be cool, like having poorly made guns jam more or modding pre war weapons with post war components because they keep breaking.
youtube.com/watch?v=MLOIbhu02nk

>Weapon degradation should not return, and good riddance to it.

Yeah, weapon degradation was horseshit in the old games. I think with the new junk system it would have been less of a pain, though. Repair guns with screws, wood, metal, etc, other than having to throw away entire guns to make one 20% more fixed.

I broke like 13 Gatling lasers in Point lookout just shooting hillbillies.

slavshit.

>progressing in the main story
>ever
its just not worth it user

I gave her a giant sentrybot body with laser rifle arms and she still talked shit to me.

And it was extra hurtful because I actually was trying to make her happy by making what I thought was a cool robobody, and she says that and then gives me the cold shoulder from then on.

I liked weapon degradation but I'll admit it eventually just becomes a minor thing to keep track of and just devote an inventory slot to repair it, not really something you have to think about or promotes cool gameplay.

It also doesn't make complete sense, since a gun doesn't break after 100 shots.

What I do wish for, though, is some sort of system that differentiates between a user who knows how to use a gun and one that doesn't. I know this is a lot, but one reload animation would be smooth and quick while the other has the person look to line up the magazine with the magazine well and has them like shift their shoulders to cycle the bolt and all those little things that represent not having muscle memory.

Every player from level 1 onward is perfectly equally as capable with all guns in fo4, except for the damage they do obviously.

It could improve the more you use a certain gun, and you could have perks associated with familiarity with certain class of firearms, etc.

But this seems complicated for a limited demographic (muh immershun) so I don't fault it missing.

It's mostly the fact that it interrupts gameplay and felt too self-contained, at least for me.

Are there any other decent weapon mods like asXas' M1 Garand/SKS/Blowback with good animations and sounds and shit?
The only other okay weapon mods I've seen is the Scar (Which doesn't fit very well) and the PTRS (Which has no animations and makes the game frustrating at high levels)

Does anyone have the webm of the barebones protectrons standing at their stations and one steps away and is shot for it?

It sounds like it's exactly what they were trying to do with Skyrim's skill system, but represented in gameplay instead of just "here's some more numbers for you".

I doubt we'll ever see a mod implement it, but it's a cool concept.

I wouldn't want to see a "weapon slowly deals less damage the more you use it, eventually being useless after x uses" system, but more of a "after x uses some part of the weapon gets less effective", after a LONG time the whole thing is useless.
So you'll get an accuracy debuff or a fire rate debuff etc.
You'd then repair it with junk as Buff suggested, and every time you did so it would get a little "tougher", ie harder to break.
Or you could have a mod for each weapon that improves durability, with each level locked behind several perks, eventually culminating in a nigh-unbreakable weapon.

Will deleting leveled lists from weapon mods break the mod or my game? Please someone help I hate this leveled list shit

>steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/data/
theres nothing in that final folder, apart from 1 texture folder for a painting mod, pretty sure all the games files should be in that data folder right?

Having some problems, does anyone know a way to fix 3rd person animations?

Another idea could be something like a weapon maintenance kit. Something you could make at a workbench. Your gun could slowly get less accurate or fire slower, or even jam until you give it a good cleaning/oiling/e.t.c.

Maybe have some hard durability in there too, but make it extremely high.

dud ammunition. percentage chance of misfires that require you to clean the weapon. reduced chance when using 'new' ammo.

I was thinking of those weapon part kits you had in previous games. All-in-one solutions to all your gun problems*. Sold at weapon and general merchants, as well as being craftable at workbenches.

*Actually specific to the type of gun (so 10mm gun kit, laser gun kit etc).

Are you talking about crafting "new" ammo?

I think jams are good enough to represent wear and tear. I fucking hate how "accuracy" works in games already, with bullets leaving the gun at bizarre impossible angles, let's not make it even worse.

this guy....

yes. or purchasing it. 'new' is in quotes because it might include properly stored ammo made in the last couple of decades. compared to a handful of .38 rounds you dig out of a 200 year old washing machine.

Doesn't every faction have a version of this guy?

>Ayo at the Institute
>Rhys at the BoS
>Ronnie at the Minutemen

I mean, fair enough. What if the accuracy penalty were applied to certain weapons only?

Say, with a sniper rifle or something like it. If you didn't maintain it for a while your shots could slowly start missing. Not necessarily by much, but enough. It sounds reasonable.

For weapons that are already highly inaccurate already though, like the Minigun, I agree with you.

Might be worthwhile to add to the mods that already add NV-Style ammo types.

I always felt like Rhys should warm up to you after a few radiants. Carrington seems to trust you eventually but Rhys is just hardass all the way.

you don't half ass immersion. do it properly, or not at all. you want weapon condition, ammo condition should also be a factor. powder isn't good forever. the rocket fuel in missiles goes bad. batteries and power cells expire. the fissile material in your mini nuke will degrade over time.

don't be a softcock faggot. full autism or none. you probably don't even police brass or carry a wind gauge. stick to call of duty, kid. leave immersion science to the men.

...

...

the files must be somewhere since my game runs fine, wth am i doing wrong?

...

And then he goes right back to being a cunt after that conversation ends. It's weird.

Problem is that it doesn't stick. He immediately goes back to using his old dialogue treating you like a greenhorn jackass after that one conversation.

If you finish the main quest on friendly terms with the Railroad, Carrington thaws out a lot and is considerably nicer to you, speaking warmly and giving you genuine heartfelt thanks.

I don't think Carrington is a jerk it's just that he's under constant stress and it's making him abrasive, once the Institute isn't looming over him he cools off a lot. Rhys just seems like a jerk through and through.
