I'm pretty sure that's what happened, do you see any other reality TV series where the rigging to favor people getting to the finale is obvious once you take a closer look and supposedly there's no place for Dangan Ronpa characters when people join to be a Dangan Ronpa character? Like, if this is all HICKSHON from the first game why would anyone just volunteer to have a brutal death and get PTSD along with hating the series they used to love forever?

I love my user-kuns! I love my user-kuns so much that it hurts, and i don't know what to do!

twitter.com/gkgk99gkgk/status/849036327014121472 w-wew lad...

Fuck us! Let us fondle your enormous lewd tits!

>do you see any other reality TV series where the rigging to favor people getting to the finale is obvious once you take a closer look

That's like, every reality show.

Still, with the existence of memory altering technology that can be used on a widespread scale just by seeing it, the existence of the reality show presented as-is is questionable.

Is he a huge cockslut

Oh my, user-kun sure is full-on lewd today!
I'll consider it
He's a NEET, isn't he? Or at least pretend-NEET?
Most of the NEETs i met are huge sluts!

Step one: Print out some screenshots of this thread.
Step two: Tear them up and make them into paper mache.
Step three: Craft a custom dildo out of the paper mache.
Step four: Literally go fuck yourself using us and our posts.

He's a bislut with many depraved fetishes that he masturbates to multiple times a day, like every other NEET on this board.

If he left the house and someone gave him the cock, he'd take it like a champ.

Well, what was said by audition Kaito is that he's in this for the money but there's no evidence of any such prize and we can see how well Amami's SHSL Survivor benefit worked in his favor.

The existence of Remembering Lights themselves makes the entire narrative questionable, I don't doubt that people do tune in to watch the show and hope is related to it, but Kirumi's motive video has had me wondering if a mass scale brainwashing has already happened before the events of this game and this is part of the horrible truth we're eventually going to uncover in later sequels.

That sounds like a wonderful idea.
You guys might think that it's ironic, but i truly and really fell in love with my user-kuns.
Whether you're nice or mean, you're giving me all kinds of special feelings.
My heart belongs to you now!

>there's no evidence of any such prize
I don't think they would bother to tell of any prize until the two survivors are chosen.
What the audience wants is Hope. The cash prize is literally a sidenote to them.

>what was said by audition Kaito is that he's in this for the money

That's wrong, actually. He says money doesn't matter to him, he just wants to be on the show.

With how resistant the audience was to seeing this as any more than fiction, I highly doubt that survivors are really just let go into the world because that would be bleeding fiction and reality. Dangan ronpa is never meant to be "won".

Personally, I think this is a universe where something like Mitarai's hope video actually succeeded in brainwashing the population.

>TDR putting subliminal messaging in the game show
That would be very possible. Danganronpa would be their means of control of the population.

I know for a fact that Danganronpa turned a number of people gay, so this isn't a stretch.

...

What a trustworthy and good man. Surely there's nothing suspicious about him.

Is this a boy or a girl?

How would you murder your classmates /drg/ ? Would you get away with it?

Yeah, I think this is more of a hunger games ripoff than it already is. In addition to being entertainment, these public games are methods of controlling the population by a huge show of power- we can make your kids kill each other while they believe they're something they're not.

The video of Kaito's grandparents, if it isn't fake or actors, may be a hint at this. Being worried about your child being on a normal reality show is one thing, but the way they talk about him going basically to his death is said in such a way that implies they have no power or say in him being on the show. They ask him to come home alive and well and clearly aren't happy about it, but they're not demanding him to be returned back to them. It implies the decision is out of their hands, even if they're his guardians and he's a minor, so obviously something's up.

There's nothing to say the remembering light technology isn't used by the government to make the population remember or believe whatever "truth" the government wants it to believe (if TDR isn't the government itself). It seems extremely unlikely that it's just used for a mere reality show of all things.

...

...

you make my kokoro go doki doki with that kind of talk, retard

That's more than i could ever dream of, user-kun~
I just want to make you warm and happy!

youtube.com/watch?v=AEtbFm_CjE0

Noted and thanks for the correction! Still, Kaito's one bothered me the most because he definitely asked Amami about the 16 students thing and as Amami still had his memories this is strong proof no Remembering Light shenanigans or brainwashing has happened yet. As such, why did he not know that the killing game will only ever have 16 high school students?

Kirumi's video actually provides us with a big clue of the kind of mindfuck that might be going on. I've talked elsewhere about how brainwashing like how the normie killed himself against his wishes is ridiculous, but in her case she notices nothing wrong because her 'loved ones' are an entire country and they need her, which aligns with her need to serve others.

That's right, what you think is the truth may simply be a lie that matches what you want to see so much you can't tell it's a lie unless you question it like how this video conveniently turned up when she swore to take care of everyone. Are you scared yet?

Yeah, in this case I'd say it's pretty likely a fictional Dangan Ronpa act existed once and the new government used it as a way to brainwash people so they don't even notice what's going on now isn't an act any more.

There's also Ouma's video that carries strong implications of the people he loves like family being in prison or far worse. Given his strong hatred for killing games, it's not impossible to imagine that kind of fate awaits anyone who opposes TDR.

perceiver-kun, as you're probably the most degenerate tripfag here, make your own 13 honorable person gangbang with DR characters of your choice

Death by snu-snu

>Team Danganronpa intentionally inserted the forced hope vs. despair conflict as a way to morph the concept of hope itself. In the other DRs, hope was used as a rallying call to fight for a better future, in an act of rebellion against the overwhelming despair that covered the Earth. However, TDR has morphed the concept into watered down rhetoric. Hope in DRV3 is a completely arbitrary concept, it's only characteristic being that it is the opposite of the despair, and you should be rooting for it. Now, put this into the context that TDR decides what and who are hope and despair. Hope is the tool to keep the people in line, and Danganronpa is how they condition the people.

After Gonta, Nidai and Mondo, I don't think you'll be able to even feel Ouma or Kuzu's dick.

Yeah, I think part of why this game is said to be made for DR1 and SDR2 fans is that we're supposed to notice this was not how hope worked like in DR1. From there you can kind of tell the world's completely fucked up again but unlike last time most might not even notice anything.

It's going to be like a Video Game, user.
Everyone will have a fair go in order of their size!
If Hopeman is anything to go by, some Hope can be "fake" or too reliant on despair to be called Hope. But that's just my take.

>convince the class pervert to put dick inside pool suction thingy
>say it feels amazing came buckets
>his dick is ripped out and he hemorrhages to death
>it'd be written off as an accident were it not for monokuma's body announcement

she is so perfect!

And if all others accepted the lie which TDR imposed – if all records told the same tale – then the lie passed into history and became truth. "Who controls the past," ran TDR's slogan, "controls the future: who controls the present controls the past." And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory. "Fiction," they called it: in DR-Speak, "hope."

And when memory failed and written records were falsified—when that happened, the claim of TDR to have created a beloved reality show had got to be accepted, because there did not exist, and never again could exist, any standard against which it could be tested.

Remember when people said Hope vs. Despair is too cartoon-like and this is possibly what happened.

How would you feel if the player is one of the last lines of defense against TDR's lies because they played DR1 and SDR2?

SDR2 already made clear that Hope is as dangerous as despair.
Besides Nagito "lolhope" Komaeda, most of the game's murders were for the sake of HOPE.
>Teruteru's hope to see his mother
>Peko's hope to get Fuyuhiko to escape
>Gundam's hope to survive

Hello.
After the long wait, i'm happy to announce Danganronpa 2: Episode 3.
Hopefully, it's worth the weight.

>Death by snu-snu

But that'd leave semen behind
DNA evidence

When you boil down to it, every murder is committed in the name of hope besides Mikan's. The hope that they can make it to the outside world and change it for the better, or the hope to save their classmates, end the game or kill the despairs, drives them all to murder.

That's why Ouma drove everyone to despair in chapter 5 to stop the killing game. He took away the hope to leave so there's no reason to kill anymore. Likewise, Tsumugi used the hope of killing the "shsl despair" in order to kickstart the game again.

Yeah but everyone has been fucked to death, and monokuma kills me anyway for murdering more than two people.
Keikaku doori

> Likewise, Tsumugi used the hope of killing the "SHSL Despair" in order to kickstart the game again.

I want to know exactly what Ouma thought of everyone falling for that when no more murders happened after his debut as mastermind and of course 'hope' conveniently appears to help the cast. Didn't Saihara also note later that the RL was convenient?

Only Akane and Ogre could Snu Snu most of the cast with a few exceptions

You underestimate my ero-mode, user-kun.

>BITE ZA DUSTO into the past and use future-knowledge to one-up Ouma.

>Ouma tries to fight back but you either win or just go back in time and use future-knowledge. He can't beat time-hax and slowly becomes your slave.
>He'll do anything he's commanded to do- mostly just get fucked up the ass or eat your pussy/ass- and he's now a nervous wreck who's scared of you. You regularly abuse this in private and public.
>Everyone thinks he's just a suck-up. You even start renting him to his victims/haters to sexually bully like Kiibo, Harumaki, and even Saihara.
>Tsumugi convinces TDR Producers to make Season 53 about you bullying Ouma. Not that you ever learn about this.
>Everyone lives happily ever after. Apart from Ouma who has to ask permission to cum because he's got a vibrating dildo up his ass and a cock-ring.

>mondo being forced to watch real life midget porn

Most of DR1's murders were out of despair though.

> Kirigiri
> Komaeda
> Kokichi

Tentatively yes.

"IF YOU HATE LIES SO MUCH WHY DO YOU KEEP FALLING FOR SOME BITCH'S LOW-QUALITY BAIT" - Ouma, probably

Seriously though, do they not stop to think about how convenient these things are? Do they think the truth is something that's just lying around as opposed to being something you have to think about?

>chihiro
>mikan
>not out on PC yet
>sure

>Mukuro
>Gundham
>Miu
Probably not

Ouma's problem was that he was too good into playing into the emotions of the rest of the cast which made them think less rationally and more reactionary about his actions, and that backfires on him when part of his plan relies on them thinking logically about what he's doing.

It's easier for us to look at what he does and realize that yeah, the guy taking every effort to crush the hope of going outside and stopping the killing game probably isn't the real mastermind, nor would he leave around a remembering flashlight that gives the rest of them the hope to kill him. But when you've put up with 5 chapters of his shit in person and he's been nothing but antagonistic since he basically killed two people from your point of view, it's harder to think logically about him.

>Miu's last thoughts as she's being choked out

They'll fucking believe anything that gives them an excuse to isolate Ouma, given what he did in Chapter 4

>> Kirigiri

Are you a submissive male like naegi boy?

>> Komaeda

>unironically liking hopeman

>Komaeda and Junko

>Ishimaru
>Fuyuhiko
>Korekiyo
Sounds wild

Would those three get along, or would they butt heads over who is the ABSOLUTEST MAD(PERSON)?
I want a sitcom of this.

>Kirigiri
>Mioda
>Himiko
Mioda would probably irritate them

Yeah, I'll admit that is a big problem with him and certainly I would just not bother trying with them at all instead of maybe hoping they'll get the point about having to counter lies with logic.

It's a little hard to notice too, but the outcasts die pretty quickly and by chapter 4 people were going to be against Ouma simply as he separates himself from the cast and they already dislike him for speaking the truth (See: Himiko), and because he's all alone it's incredibly easy for people to feel justified in pinning everything on him.

From a psychological point of view it's excellent writing because chances are you're a lot less likely to understand the meaning behind Ouma's actions unless you're aware of how much bias can poison your judgment of everything and the narrative more or less sides with everyone else.

A lie that deceives everyone becomes the truth, no? In the grand scheme of things I believe something Kodaka wanted to convey is the absolute danger in seeing only what you want to see and being convinced that's the truth.

>Kirigiri
>Saionji
>Angie
I'm not sure. Saionji might end up ruining the mood.

So if V3 had Ouma whose gimmick was lies, is the next game gonna have a person whose gimmick is Truth no matter what?
They could show the DARK SIDE OF TRUTH, and how sometimes revealing everything indiscriminately can be just as harmful.

No, I just like her because she's level-headed.

I like Ouma too, and while one's considerably less dangerous from just existing they're both trainwrecks.

>go out to dinner, he's extremely pissed off the whole time
>get home
>he now has to watch two midgets have hatesex on his couch

I'm having trouble with this. Does my waifu automatically qualify as my favorite or can it be someone else?

It's hard to choose between Kaede and Kaito.

It's not exactly the dark side of truth like how you said it but Ouma actually demonstrates the good and bad side of both lies and truth.

Lies when used for good can comfort others and help them bear with an awful truth while it can also be harmless and silly as jokes. However, you can also lie so much to yourself it becomes the truth and you refuse to change because of it, and a person can construct a lie so beautiful no one wants to look away even when it's to their detriment.

The truth in the meanwhile is something people need to establish who they are as a person and the truth of who you are is something only you should have a say on. Even so, you have to be careful when to reveal the truth and sometimes it may not be good to do so at all if no one understands what you're saying.

I think Ouma has some of the blame to share too. I don't blame the rest of the cast for hating him after what happened in trial four and the stunt he pulled after Gonta's execution. He had a chance to come clean, tell the truth, and redeem himself, but he chose instead to play the villain and isolate himself.

I'm hard pressed to call it excellent writing but it is a good trick- no one in the series so far has pretended to be evil/insane and you're set up to believe he's following the classic dramatic reveal of true insanity like Komaeda or Junko. Using bias from previous installments of the series in order to make the player fall for his ruse is kind of fun.

I see. I haven't played the game yet but i suspected they'd use Ouma like that.
Makes me wonder what conflict they'll come up with next? What against what?
Or maybe they'll finally step away from the entire White vs Black formula and come up with something entirely new. That would be interesting.

Daily reminder that Chiaki is still and will always be best girl
Hajizuru used his shsl God powers to revive her from the dead and she then won the Hajizurubowl. She's now playing games with the DR2 cast on the boat forever (or at least till V3 happens in this universe)

That bias is exactly what I call excellent writing, because even from the start Ouma is subtly pushing people's buttons or making dark remarks without acting on them, and when you take said remarks literally you're on the whole inclined to dislike him unless you noticed the contradictions between his words and his actions. He's also much more playful in his FTEs, and if you finish them he does make it obvious that he's not interested in entertaining boring people who don't want to figure him out.

One's mileage varies with chapter 4, certainly I can say people are justified in being mad at Ouma with what happened there but in going back to look at other chapters even him bringing up the mastermind in chapter 2 shows the cast reacting badly.

The only person I consistently notice wondering about his words is Saihara, so it's small wonder he didn't bother redeeming himself: If he can logically show how Gonta killed Miu and people refuse to see the truth, why would he try showing who he actually is and get killed off pointlessly? The evidence of who Ouma was as a person was hidden away in his room, but ultimately people who shriek about how evil he is never bothered paying enough attention to him in the first place.

I think the truth vs. lies thing will stick with us for a while, given that Ouma was a balance of both as opposed to only siding with one and Saihara's come to understand that lies can be used for a good purpose.

>Asahina
>Sonia
>Ouma
Hmm.

I would like to see a return to the Trust vs Distrust thing.
The previous casts had exceptions, but they mostly trusted each other.
I want a cast that doesn't trust each other at all, it would make situations like the end of DR1 and DR2 interesting (When all of the people had to make the same decision to survive)

>by chapter 4 people were going to be against Ouma simply as he separates himself from the cast and they already dislike him for speaking the truth (See: Himiko), and because he's all alone it's incredibly easy for people to feel justified in pinning everything on him
For all their dislike of Ouma, they still considered him their ally before the Chapter 4 trial.
It was after the Chapter 4 trial that they really started to isolate him. And that was well-deserved, given the shit he pulled.
Ouma may had drawn the right conclusions but his actions were not in the right. By antagonizing the cast, he put himself in a position to be isolated. Indeed, Ouma's weakness is that for all his intelligence, he distrusted everyone, and that set the stone for his downfall starting in Chapter 4.
