i'd love a sort of combination

like there's a master slot that mimics an infusion, making something heavy or elemental or whatever, and then there's the three gem slots. except i'd like gems to be less focused on straight damage boosts and be more about secondary effects that are only useful in certain circumstances to make your gem selection feel more like it matters.

Bloodbornes Gem system was a cancer. Allowing players who had more time or RNG to benefit more in the game. It was stupid.
I believe the gem system was a great idea, but make gems upgradable by combining the same type of gem into another. Only way ill allow that godawful system to exist

If you're trying to mimimize Dex, Int and Lck then go Warrior instead. A Str-Fai build still requires some Vit for armor and weapons.

Your Att also fucking sucks, no point in going 60 Fai if you're going to have shit for FP.

Only Faith, that's why Heavy Murky Hand Scythe with 60 FAI Dark Blade is the best option.

You know, I think I might prefer DaS2's infusion system over 3's for one reason: Boss Soul Weapon Infusion.

But, what I really want, is a system like Bloodborne's, in that you can change a weapon's total damage type as well as how it scales, but with actual visual changes to match.

And changes the damage to 100% magic, of course.

The best thing about DaS2's infusion system was that it gave bonuses for infusing an already-innate element with the same stone type, and then you could still buff it afterward. Also, lack of physical infusions.

I still wish that you could have done that in DaS3, imagine infusing a LKGS with Lightning Gem, and then buffing with Lightning Blade. Faith builds would actually be viable without having to go full Yorshka's.

Enchanted was useful on 50 Int builds when you used it on crossbows and certain non-scaling weapons. It could outperform Raw in some cases too. Also, using it on the Major League Great Sword gave you a strong physical scaling option on mages.

Because it's a pretty damn casual game. What you've described applies to PvE as well: wait for enemy to whiff and then kill it.
They could've made it challenging and not so brain-dead by making rolls a lot less efficient (severely cutting amount of iframes, significantly bumping up stamina consumption and recovery frames), as well as a number of other things, but we have what we have: a very basic hack and slash game.

No, compare Dark Blade's buff on Caitha's at 40/40 to Yorshka's Chime at 60, Yorshka's is far ahead.

it only worked like that because they made buffs shit, because of only scaling off of weapon damage rather than your spell buff

Apart from there being very little that looks like Leeroy's set, Morne's is impossible to build for at a low level. So don't bother.

All you limit at 100 is making quality builds go down to 27 STR and a few points off endurance while hurting casters even more then they already are.

I personally haven't used CGH, but I have used Morne's and I enjoyed it. The WA can catch people chasing you around corners really nicely, and it hits quite hard.
