Save up all gold 120 days before each expansion (6100g). This means saving for the next set starting the 18th of April. You can craft remaining top legendaries without the chance of pulling them from packs.

What was the best meta in the history of Hearthstone?

This pedo

Why does he make the post?

i report all your svg images.

A lot of shitposting for a hired shill

look at all those new shitters that werent here for classic

Someone actually voted for Karazhan meta? Blasphemy.

This poll is extremely biased towards the most recent expansions because fewer people have played during an expansion the older it is

Reminder that anybody who doesn't think GvG was the best meta is objectively wrong.

shillposting this when we got
THIS

Is svg even trying?

Want to trade 80g friend quest on EU
DedotatedWam#2643

Nice expansion, Blizzard.

WOG meta was boring as fuck, why does everyone vote on it.

If anything, I feel like there's room to build around in some classes.
The cards that generate flame elementals are good for elemental synergy but also for summoning 1drops requirements or just to trigger etb.
Or even just to give token buff a way to flood the board without needing much draw. Heck I want to try it with hobgoblin too.
Same shit for rogue, I get the feeling razorpetals are gonna be used in a lot of different ways.
Hemet is super intresting to deckbuild around. I'm also exited for tutors like shadow vision.
Some quest rewards are not just a big unfair minion/enchantment. The mage one really makes me exited even if it's not the best one.
And finally, I like to consider alternative ways to use quests. Like play it in controllock and only run deathwing as a discard enabler to drop it late game.

>the mechmage-eboladin-combodruid meta was good

no

Make a neutral quest
RIGHT
NOW

Quest: Get Fatigue Damage
Reward: Opponent Draws 6 cards

>shredder and boom bot rng deciding 90% of games
yeah, that was so fun.

Which is cuter?

I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT FOR THE EXPANSION BROS

IT'S GONNA BE REALLY FUN

What quest are you guys gonna try first?
Warrior here

...

Whatever drops from the packs lmao we are poor

does it release tomorrow?

that's really bad

It was a slower meta with fresh nerfs that were long overdue. It indroduced standard mode as well and we got tons of free shit. It was really fun at the start. And there was not so much archetype pushing like now despite all those cthun decks.
I really hope so. Gadgetzan butchered hearthstone and it really needs something fresh for it to pick up the pace.
If i get none from packs, probably gonna craft warrior first.

change the book to, discard your hand, fill it with random spells

classic ramp druid/aggro rogue are comfiest decks of all time

There's a reason I didn't do that; It'd be heavily favoring Warlocks.

turn one yeti. good old times

who is this? did drg replace monara with her? any new comics out

still preferable to the turn1 massive vancleef

Never, because they are completely irrelevant in Warcraft outside of porn.

uhm trump??

I like the way you think.
Quest: Spend exactly 10 mana in one turn.
Reward: Unused mana crystals deal 1 damage each to their owner at the end of his turn.

I have enough gold to buy 14 packs on launch. Plus the 5 free packs. Plus the dust from Sylvanas and Rag.

Feels ok.

I just preordered

Did I fuck up?

Nope he just does not exclusively draw Monara.
Akama, Maraad or Yrel if we speak about female ones. Also Garona is a half draenei.

Dude that is the sulfuras from the very first tavern brawl

>Quest: Draw 5 cards in a single turn
>Reward: Each player now draws 2 cards at the start of their turn.

How's that saving up going /hsg/? You didn't pre-order again, did you? You learned your lesson right?

Get ready for some MOTHAFUCKIN FLAVORTEXT today

And maybe some other fun datamine stuff

my guess is 11 PST

Do you bot?
I can't for the life of me understand how you can save so much.
I didn't buy anything and I still only have 4.2k gold.

all you have to do is play since beta

so make a time machine and maybe then you can enjoy hearthstone

I haven't played hs for weeks because of that absolute shit meta, still about 1.5k gold and 10k dust

Probably will just make like 1-2 decks and get bored again

when you realize your legitimate excitement makes you look like a shill

I-its just an informational post b-bros pls no bully ;_;

>How to make HS great again

You don't.

>Implying it was ever great.

How does Team 5 feel about the growing animosity about the prohibitive cost of the game?

The moment when the new set releases is always the best one. I am going to flip if mage quest will have JoJo references.

>Bought an account with a bunch of legs on it and 20k g for $50

Ive spent half that on gadget and basic packs and still only have a zoolock deck and a cthun priest deck

Why did i waste $50 on this game

they probably care as much as they do about actually consulting people who know how to play the game at a high level.

Reminder that the rogue quest is the sleeper hit of the expansion and will be the core of an aggro rogue deck that includes:

Fire Fly x 2
Igneous Elemental x 2
The Caverns Below

as a 5 card package

Note: The red mana crystal replaces your first mana crystal. In order to get the random demon, you must spend all your mana (Or spend your first mana crystal somehow).

There is always a vocal minority of people that "hate the game", but having a large and growing playerbase speaks for itself.

As for the cost, they legitimately believe the f2p meme

just stuff all of the novice engineers and other cheap cantrips + rogue tempo cards in the deck and it can easily break the game

the playerbase is decreasing though

I think multiclass cards are the way of the future

>Play brann into triple Felguard

>growing

there's a reason why they stopped reporting on playerbase growth in 2015 lad

>There is always a vocal minority of people that "hate the game"

This is not what I just said. If you glance over reddit occasionally you will notice there is a growing discontent about the accessibility of the game.

I'm expecting that especially with the sheer amount of 'I'd like to play that' high cost content, together with the removal of adventures, that this will grow to be a bigger problem sooner than later.

If I'm ever expecting Hearthstone to take a large hit popularity and player retention wise, I'm expecting it to be during the set after UG.

People will realize that 60 F2P packs, probably getting them 2 shitty legendaries does not get them very far in terms of having fun. Not only were the adventures cheap, but they gave players access to complete sets with many playable cards.

I suspect that the impact of the removal of adventures will be larger than is commonly anticipated.

reddit is literally

>[citation needed]
Yeah I know what article you're going to link.
Population always decreases during the month or so before an expansion, but goes up higher than it was before once it hits.

They reported 50mil in 2016 and 2017 hasn't finished yet you doofus

>Not understanding the concept of vocal minority

It's also the largest Hearthstone community. So please do tell me where you'd rather gauge general opinions?

It's even curated by a former Blizzard forum mod, even even regardless of the mods trying to steer stuff in a positive narrative towards Hearthstone/Blizzard you can notice the animosity.

Since Ungoro is the beast expansion, I would have liked to see this.

Please do link the financial report where they reported the 50 million active playerbase.

>Not understanding the concept of vocal minority
Your reading comprehension seems to be severely lacking even after it's mentioned explicitly.

It's a blizzard product. It won't die so easily. Just look at WoW. How long people have said the game will die? Yet it still refuses to.

you forgot to mention that you have to sell your soul to the jews first.

I never said anything about dying. I'm saying that the increased prices, the increased cost of 'fun' and good decks and the removal of adventures will cause a substantial decrease of player retention and new player acquisition.

Fatigue is going to hit it's highest point yet this year is what I'm suspecting.

>3 mana

The one thing that could help them would be make daily login rewards permanent or increase the gold gain for dailies/wins. Even though it is pretty unlikely they need to realize that.

>Tried to get 4 friends into Hearthstone during WOG
>All quit within a month

Can't say I blame them, for a developer stating they focus so incredibly much on the new player experience it doesn't really show.

To the contrary, I can't think of a game with a worse new player experience.

I'd see more something like this:
Quest: destroy the beast with the higest mana cost in your opponent's deck.
Reward: The most dangerous game
5 mana spell, your non beast minions have combo: destroy a minion.

I just noticed the warrior quest gives you a free 4/2 weapon. Pretty nice.

surprised they lasted that long, my sister got me into the game but now all she does is do brawls when they're the prebuilt decks

>brawls when they're the prebuilt decks
They really need to add prebuilt decks to the shop that you can also buy for gold and give new players a free deck when they register.

As long as it's reasonably priced it'd be a good enough replacement for adventures and the actual cost of making it would be incredibly low. Hell, they could even relese new decks each expansion as an alternative to getting card packs. Obviously completionists (ie whales) will still buy packs though.

I firmly believe that this plus what user suggested here like permanent login rewards and increased daily gold would keep the game alive.

My friend got into hearthstone approximately year ago. Now quit after msog. Said its just not worth. Tried to get him back for un'goro, but it aint happening. Every expansion is a power creep and if you lag behind with older expansion cards it'll be hard to save up for new expansions.

Imagine if all previous brawls were always available to play with friends.

Now spend 50 more pre-ordering so you can get a couple more useless legendaries!

Do it user!

>Q: Will you make the players craft card backs?
A: There’s a strong chance we’ll do it, we dont want people that had to leave for a month feel less rewarded.

FUCK YOU

This was my first simulation of the 110 packs I'll be opening.

I've thought about this, but it'd be horrible since eventually each brawl would develop a game-breaking meta which would drain all the fun from it. You'd also have issues finding players for them.

Brawls are fine right now. Only things they could improve on it are making it all week round except maybe one day and never ever playing the Heroic Brawl again. Insted they can just go ahead and add tournament mode which is what this is supposed to be a shitty replacement for.

The only reason I stuck around when MSoG hit was that I got both Kazakus and Patches from my 30 something packs.

I have almost no classic Legos, shit cards from older expansions, and its only thanks to those 2 that I was able to craft fun and viable decks for the MSoG meta.

Now that Ungoro is gonna come and require stupidly expensive decks since most of the Epics are viable and each class has 2 Legos, I don't see myself keeping up with 4k dust (after refunds) and 4k gold.

...

>play with friends
As in you challenge person on your firendlist and pick brawl from the list.

This is a good thing though. They should still give out card back obviously, but the ability to craft them for dust to get some of the ones you missed would be great.

I'm still using the default card back because all the ones I have are fucking ugly, but some of the older ones are amazing.

Keep using pandaria until that patch hits live and then switch to magni.

My bad. That could be fun I guess, but even better would be if they added more co-op stuff.

Where did they say this?

>Beta is now above Classic
People genuinely preferred 8-mana pyros and mind controls?

Gold for decks would be pretty decent for new players, they could even be available for them for a period of time. F.e 100 gold for 7 days usage of deck. These decks dont even have to be tier 1, just include some legendarys and meta shit. Ofcourse it'd have to be that if you buy the deck you can't use the deck cards in your homebrew decks if you dont own the card itself.
Would be nice way for new players to test out shit and find out what cards and playstyle they like. If they like it enough they'll probably end up buying packs as well.
Way to improve new player experience and for blizzard to sneakily jew some new packs.

>require stupidly expansive decks
thats what we thought about msog.
and it was true until everyone realised 2000 dust aggro and jade decks fucked kabal
wotog was the best in terms of budget decks. there was 200 dust warrior getting people rank 5

They released financial numbers but no player count in the report

The press release about the player count has its source cited as "Registered player count based on internal company records and/or reports from key distribution partners."

But seriously, in terms of reddit's animosity, it is a case of vocal minority. Go there right now and sort by top posts for the year. The highest is Brode's rap video with 40k upvotes. The next highest post which is complaining about costs is 6 posts down and only has 12.7k upvotes. That is only 3% of THEIR community.

You also haven't posted the updated version of the google analytics pic where it spikes higher than ever for ungoro

>We never want to create doppelganger cards and that's the reason behind the Standard format
>Prints Terrorscale Stalker

C'thun decks would have been a perfect example of good prebuilt decks.
They fell behind when the meta stabilised but they got good cohesion.

Why doesnt HS have cool art like this?

Gonna be playing Curator Paladin Rogue until the expansion hits, everything else already had its fun sucked out of it.

There was nothing wrong with 8 mana mind control

Let's be honest they probably wanted to print that card forever but didn't want it to combo with sylvanas so they just made it 5 mana made it a legendary and called it a day

i miss cthun decks
