I'm kind of new to pvp. Could anyone explain to me why I keep running into people with endgame gear at SL 25? I just wanted to get some easy pale tongues from undead settlement, but everyone's using Ringed knight swords and Dragonslayer Greataxes. How do you even get that gear at this level?

The Ashen Estus system was a mistake. Not only did it fuck spellcasting in general, but it also fucks up the level design by balancing the game around lower amounts of healing items total. I want my attunement slot stackings back.

But how do people even meet the stat requirements for those weapons at that soul level? Don't they require something like 30 STR? How is that even possible?

If you two hand a weapon your effective strength goes up by 50%
so say you have 20 str you just 2hand a 30str weapon and use it just fine

No, I played the other games at least once through. I played a lot of DS2 but only offline since i didn't have a pc, or xbox live. 3 is the only one I've been exploring pvp to be honest. I mostly just use straight swords, but I'm pretty fond of the drang hammers too.

you're grossly underestimating the level ranges you have access to above and below you. you're probably playing against lvl 50s or whatever the highest level for your level bracket would be
that said please tell me how anyone under SL 60 is possibly getting effective PVP value out of paired GS or basically any endgame build

I dunno what to tell you. I can't even touch them when the paired GS give you hyperarmour for like 80% of their attacks. Plus the host usually summons 3 phantoms when I get there because he's such a brave boy.

straight swords are pretty 'meta' too i think
dont know much about pvp, just use whatever feels good moveset-wise, or looks cool

I really wanna have a go at some of the magic weapons like moonlight SS, or Lothric's Holy sword but it just feels like the coolest weapons are the most garbage.

i used moonlight throughout the whole dlc, til i got to midir and had to respec cause i was doing no dmg

anyone have a guide for completing all npc quests in das1? I don't think I've ever finished siegmeyers or logan's.

wtf i have the "invalid game data" message... i have never once cheated/edited save files or anything like that, ive never even taken an item from another player online...

Demon's is slightly better at casting if you have the stats for it.
Seething Chaos is decent for zoning in PvP.

So I just finished dark souls 1. Dark souls 3 is half price at the moment. Should/can I skip DS2?

I personally would pick it up now but shelve it until later. As for DS2, I'd play through it, I admit it isn't as good as DS1 but it isn't worse than hitler like some people in this general say imo. If you just play though the PvE and not concern yourself with pvp outside of invasions. DS2 is alright and can be done n over with.

Now I remember why I hate the Dragonslayer Axe. The moveset is shit.

With a refined build why would I ever use Dark Sword over Longsword when they deal the same damage? 35/35 btw

The thing is that the katanafag WOULD be able to do shit to the greatswordfag if rolling and chugging weren't so safe. He wouldn't be able to wombo-combo his ass like the GS user could, but death by a thousand cuts is still a death, at least until he undoes all of your hard work by rolling 12 times after completing his combo and taking a complete sippy in 3 nanoseconds.

Are there tables for ds3 item duping or swapping? Not really interested in killing shitty enemies for 3 hours to get two infusion gems.
